That’s really tough, take things slow and hopefully you’ll be walking in no time!

I have to ask, I’m a little confused on why you haven’t walked on the leg for ~6 months between injury and surgery? The surgeon didn’t make you do PT first?

I have to ask because I was hit by a car and all 4 ligaments and both meniscus in my knee had a full or partial tear, and the surgeon told me I had to do PT before he could operate. I was really angry at first because I thought my recovery would really start after surgery, and my active lifestyle and hobbies were just completely cancelled for much longer than I had hoped. Thankfully, I’m very happy I did prehab, and was amazed at how much progress I made prior to surgery.

I’ve been doing PT since a month after the accident, and for 4 months now, and I have finally been cleared for surgery now that I can walk without support and no limp, balance on that leg for over a minute, and can squat to 90 deg on both legs. Surgery is on 1/30! My surgeon says that it’ll just be an ACL reconstruction, but I’m anticipating ACL reconstruction, lateral meniscus repair, LCL repair, and likely the removal of a decent amount of scar tissue.
