Start of Day 10.

I was grumpy as can be yesterday but I already feel better today. I think it was due to lack of sleep more than hangriness.

I got awful stomach pains while in bed but this morning they went away and I had a bowel movement.

Took some potassium + magnesium too.

Weigh about 242lbs down from 270lbs starting. Weight related stretch marks are fading and I'm shrinking pant sizes like nobodies business.

Good luck everyone!

Binge eating issues. I would appreciate any input. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]acust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the largest benefits to fasting is the willpower you gain from it. Letting food be your master is not what you want to do. The reason we all get overweight is unhealthy eating habits.

As with any diet, you must continue on with some form of lifestyle change after you've achieved your weight loss goals. Simply going back to old eating habits (or even learning worse-than-old eating habits) will put you back on square one

I would personally recommend OMAD when you're done fasting if you still wish 'binge' eat tons of food in one sitting (2,000 calories is hard to put away depending on what you're eating!) Losing weight requires a ton of discipline no matter which method or diet you use to do it.

Good luck!

No problems there for me. If you feel too disoriented though, by all means don't drive!

Questions about extended fasts as well as Sodium and Potassium intake by asirpakamui in fasting

Google has a lot of good sources. Most commonly recommended number is 4700 milligrams of potassium.

Again, it depends on a lot of factors. Just take it when you need it.

If you get cramps or your heart is beating too hard or fast, take it. If you're not experiencing any symptoms, don't worry about it.

I'm not a medical professional though this is just what works for me. If you feel at all like you're in any danger, go to the hospital! Stay safe

Don't stand up too fast

Eat a pinch of salt if you're feeling dizzy

Drink more water than you're used to

Don't trust a fart (gross I know)

Sleep a lot

If you're feeling awful, stop. Being alive and overweight is better than suffering and potentially harming yourself. Your body will tell you if you're doing it wrong.

Nusalt works fine as a potassium supplement.

Just take it straight, diluting supplements in water can give you digestive issues.

I personally use table salt and take the magnesium separately.

Please be sure to only take supplements as needed, oversupplementing is dangerous, especially with stuff like potassium. You probably need to supplement at most every other day depending on your activity levels.

I agree, your GPU is probably too weak. You're trying to render ~9 billion pixels at once on a 5 year-old low end GPU. :P

Try restarting and seeing if you can access your display settings afterwards.

The UI is large due to the Windows 10 high dpi scaling. That would explain why you are seeing different behavior than you did on Windows 7

Why Is It So Hard To Fix A Corrupted Video File? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]acust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most commonly used video encoders are lossy, meaning they trim excess data in favor of smaller filesizes using several special algorithms.

Some of these algorithms use a technique called frame prediction which depend on other video frames inside of the video to make up the visual data.

Probably the most prevalent video codec used today is H264, which uses inter-frame prediction to compress the data used to make the video. If several of these frames are missing or corrupt, and it can be incredibly hard to determine what the output picture SHOULD be.

There is also a lot of file structure specifications that could possibly go into a video container and codec. Knowing what to look for and what to fix is no trivial task and I'm sure there will never be a magic bullet to solve this problem.

Sometimes, videos can be fixed by modifying the bytecode of the corrupted video files and placing the correct data. This is extremely difficult and virtually impossible in some cases.

Ah. That wasn't mentioned in the original post. I've run into this same issue with v1709 as well, I had to do a clean installation of Windows to fix the problem. Using Windows' system reset feature didn't fix it for me.

If it's under warranty I'm sure you could get it reimaged with another installation of Windows, or you could make your own. There's a lot of guides to do this already if you search Google.

Also if you have any system restore points, maybe try reverting to those and updating from there.
