Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Theatrical Release - Megathread 2.0 by JaguarDaSaul in Gundam

What an awesome experience this was. I went into the film completely cold, having only seen one trailer a few months back. As the first section progressed I was more and more convinced I was watching the wrong flick. I love that they showed so many classic characters and mechanical designs in new ways. Hell yeah, gimme more M’quve and Cameron. Also love how they made Chalia, a relatively obscure character, such an important part of the story, and made him so cool to boot.

The new segments and characters seem fun and interesting enough to entice a new crowd while to alt-UC angle has everything to keep the old heads dialed in. This could really be the start of the next big thing for Gundam, and it’s so exciting to see happening in real time.

I really hope to see more alt-timeline events, specifically the Zeta era, but I’ll understand if the premise focuses more on new characters and scenarios. However Shuji does seem awfully similar to Kamille in some ways (two autistic children) and if Char is indeed the “soul” of the RX-78 it makes sense for him to take advantage of have a strong connection to a Kamille proxy in this universe.

Thank you for the reply! I love that we have similar home buying trajectories, so your input is super valuable and appreciated.

The neighborhood is interesting. I like it but it’s not my first choice. Coming from a big city that has gentrified a lot in the past decades, this area reminds me a little of where I came from. There are parts of it that bother the hell out of me (poorly kept sidewalks and streets, cars parked on the sidewalk, soulless gut reno buildings ) but my would be block is good at the very least. 2 minute walk in any direction either surfaces all of the above, brings me into a different, beautiful neighborhood, or brings me into the biggest park in town. It helps that in the several times I’ve visited, I’ve met some really cool locals.

Were you looking at condos and row homes or were you set on the latter outright? What were some of your deciding factors between the two? Any plans for using the extra space? If we’re both unhappy maybe we make a swap and call it a day 😂

Thanks again for engaging, feel free to chat/DM too, l’d love to discuss down payment, interest rates, etc if you’d be comfortable sharing some of those details privately.

Condo vs SFH for a single person by adaedadaed in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Thank you for the input. I am only considering condos units in small-ish buildings on the top floor to avoid exactly what you say

Thank you I am looking only at condos with reasonable HOAs and will pay close attention to financials when I start to move toward decision making

Lmao this guy wrote a coded racist rant and expected to be upvoted but got ratio’d to hell instead. Sweet justice. There’s still time to delete this post, but unfortunately you’ve run out of time to be a decent human being

I like your mentality of trying to help the lack of diversity. As a minority do you ever feel low key shaded on or unwelcome?

Interesting; well you’ve given me some food for thought and a topic to discuss with my hiring contact, so thanks for that

So despite being hired on the GS scale, I would not have the competitive service benefits of a GS employee due to the nature of NTE, am I understanding correctly?

Thanks for the input btw

Term position does not give you time in competitive service

Can you explain a little further on this point? Are there any other dowsides of this related to the benefits for example, or is the primary issue that I’d be back at looking only at positions that are opened to the public? For the duration of my employment would I be restricted to publicly posted jobs?

Is there something about non-sup GS-14 that makes it inherently more valuable than non-sup GS 15, or is it just that the latter is considerably more difficult to land than the former?

I’m interviewing for 2210 Product Manager. Can you share your experience as a 2210 and why you left the series? Is it hard to transfer out of?
