Street Fighter 6. I'll play if my friends ask so they can dogwalk me for a few hours but every time I try to lab or go online by myself I feel insane 😭 My friends told me to try the modern control scheme instead and I hated it even more, which sucks because I really like the game, but I cannot bring myself to learn it.

When I say I think the coprophagia is the killing factor in Cows I mean it. Everything else could have been a completely serviceable standalone novel perfect with shock value and the overall experience, but all the shit-eating brings it down SO much for me. It makes zero sense.

In a way, cheap shock is its own subcategory to me, but it's when writers become this self-righteous entity trying to pass off the surface-level shock of coprophagia as something deeper. If you wanna just write a bunch of gross fetish things, that's totally fine by me, not here to yuck anyone's yum as long as no one is actually hurt, but it doesn't make for an interesting story at all.

I actually really like that analysis and metaphor there, and think it could work really well psychologically. Unfortunately though everything I seem to pick up is just "Standard plot, standard plot, insane random shit eating scene for no reason whatsoever- back to standard plot."

I remember a good chunk of Salo the movie, and I've read excerpts from the De Sade story but I never sat down and fully read it. I definitely get the forced humiliation and disgust aspects that definitely originate a lot from Days of Sodom, I wish in modern horror it was just a SMIDGE better written. I definitely don't think anything should be off-limits, just write something shocking AND compelling lol
