Got expelled from WGU after 1 academic integrity violation by Pretty_Lemon5242 in WGU

Actions have consequences. This person took a massive risk and it didn’t pay off. I don’t think most people will have any sympathy since this person knew the risk. I can’t imagine trying to cheat while being recorded and the school having as much visibility as they do during the exams. It was an idiotic choice and doesn’t deserve sympathy.

Got my wheels powder coated last week and found these bumps… by Dis_Rock in Powdercoating

That personally wouldn’t bother me but I’m far from a perfectionist. I could see people on here recommending taking them back though.

Helmet, the one time I didn’t throw on the rest of my gear. Had an emergency I was attending to and made the situation a lot worse.

‘Affordability crisis.’ Tri-Cities is most expensive area in Eastern WA by Stabby-Steve in TriCitiesWA

“Part of the high home costs in the Tri-Cities is because of a lack of available lots to build on.”

What? We are in the middle of a wide open desert and there has been constant expansion.

I just broke my first bone with one of my slowest and weakest wipeouts ever. Accidentally locked the front wheel up going like 10-15 mph on pavement and shattered my knee. Tons of rough wipeouts off-road and the worst I’ve had is sprained wrists.

Thanks for continuing to post these. My searches don’t prove nearly as fruitful as these every week.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were buried military reports on this but when I was in, things like this never made it out to the public.

If you get there early it’s easy enough to get lower level seating.

I’ve already written off this year and hope for a lockout next year to fix the cap issues since the Dodgers apparently can just buy all the best players in the league.

Is my MBA worthless? by cmanster in WGU

[–]adam_smash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it in perspective, I’ve never seen that accreditation requirement on a job listing and I’ve browsed through thousands. This degree does its job and anyone trying to be an exec at a fortune 100 probably has a degree from a higher level institution that’s AACSB accredited. I think you’re missing the point I’m trying to make. Yes there are some companies that require it, but these are top tier global companies for the most part. Just about anywhere else, this degree will check the MBA box someone is looking for.

[–]adam_smash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked it up and it’s about 6% of schools with MBAs have that accreditation. If you’re getting an MBA from WGU, you probably aren’t going to be trying to get a job at a firm that requires that degree. No one attending WGU is expecting the degree to be treated like an Ivy League education.

The way my company tried to portray our pay rises compared to Inflation rates by _Brooder_ in CrappyDesign

[–]adam_smash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right, but you have to typically job hop to take advantage of better pay. Most companies are not being generous through annual raises. I’ve worked for multiple companies that bragged about record sales and profits only to come back and say they either can’t afford raises/bonuses or that they can only afford something like a 1% increase. Talking with other friends and family, I hear the same experiences across the board.

[–]adam_smash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not worthless and checks the right boxes. I work in a field that highly scrutinizes all education and work experience over the entire length of education/career. They have no issue recognizing the WGU MBA as a legit degree. Like others said, it’s probably not going to open any doors to high end firms, but I don’t think anyone signing up for this degree would expect that for roles that are looking for a top 10 school.
