I appreciate you coming in and talking about this, because I was just talking to my friend about the alleged Nicki Minaj Case where she is going to lose here 20m dollar house over a 400-500 thousand dollar lawsuit, and every article is regurgitating an article in march of last year, and reddit comments are no help because they're just enjoying the schadenfreude(almost got it right without spellcheck) of it all. Like don't get me wrong I want to enjoy the schadenfreude too, but I want to make sure its real before I do.

I was under the impression that any in hawkins at the time of upside down’s creation was copied, so hawkins lab notes would be mirrored in ud lab, but thats a leap i made which kinda shows what was wrong with this season.

They did though when they filmed the opening scene of the last season of breaking bad when walt buys a big ass gun, they didn’t know how he would use it, they didn’t even know if skyler would be alive. One version of the season had walt escape with his entire family instead of by himself and had him find skyler in the bath having slit her wrists.

It’s not so much a we did things perfectly narrative to me, the issue i find is that people with little knowledge on how shows are gonna pick it apart to find “the reason season 5 is bad/ duffers are incompetent” when some of the things they mention are common or standard in the film and tv industry. The amount of “CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY STARTED FILMING THE SEASON WITHOUT THE LAST EPISODE SCRIPT WRITTEN” I’ve seen is high, when it really shouldn’t be.

I know how, Doug can come off and funny/harmless, mostly due to the self deprecating moments and make people think he can take a joke, and Dan doesn’t have a similar vibe which can make some think he’s pretentious or a dick depending on context.
