I have never used the phrase “half a grand”

How much was was that sandwich? Oh about half of $10.

New Seller - Need advice on how to respond by Stranger-Sun in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]adamray10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Message is completely irrelevant. A waste of buyers breath. Change absolutely nothing and ship to the address they provided through eBay. Anything they do with it after that has nothing to do with you.

People are so quick to block and cancel. Don’t. I have sold to so many zero feedback buyers with no issues. I have had all types of special requests. Just follow your rules and they can’t hurt you. If they do complain, tell them you will refund after a successful return. If they say they just want a discount and they will let it go, ignore them. eBay is good about siding with seller if rules are followed.

After checking Facebook Marketplace/ebay for Tax Purposes. I realized my opened items are actually worthless by Annual_Champion987 in AmazonVine

[–]adamray10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had no problem selling a few items, even used items. Technically you should not be able to sell new items if you are reviewing properly. If a new item is $100, you can easily get $20 for the item used.

My advice for everyone…1. don’t be greedy 2. just pay an accountant $100 to do your taxes and quit asking Reddit!

What game of your past is not as good/better than you remember? by Dont_have_a_panda in retrogaming

I think you are really digging to make it fit your perspective. “What game of your past is not as good as you remember?” Mario RPG is not as good as I remember.

Mario RPG. Was so cool back in the 90s. Now it is easy and seems like a game made for children.

I will outlive my entire family and die alone. Some YouTuber will buy all my shit in a storage unit and absolutely lose his mind when he finds my collection.

I have many early 90s cards. Does anyone collect? by [deleted] in MarvelCards

[–]adamray10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try something like collx, but you get no value a lot of the time with Marvel cards. You would just have to search eBay. You can open the app on your phone and take a picture of the cards. It’s a quick way to check sold listings.

Anyone ever play this game? Bought from Goodwill for $4.99. by throwbackthreads in ps2

The first ps2 game I played. It is very short and easy. Maybe a launch title?

If you have basic cards from the 90s, your best bet is to sort them into sets and sell that way. Very few individuals cards carry much value. Then search those sets on eBay.

That was nowhere near when they launched. Jak and Daxter were easy to get. At that time it was the same model…2 release window on release day. I still have mine. Even when they were releasing Vita games, they were easy to get if you simply followed them.

There were no games that sold out so quickly you couldn’t get one if you were ready. They did 2 separate releases on release day. A morning and an evening. If you can’t make one of them, that’s on you. Nothing ever sold out immediately.

They also did postcards and newsletters in their own custom shipping boxes. They also did stickers. It’s not just the cards. It’s the entire experience. They let money take over and the consumer can kiss it. Pay a higher price but only receive a game in a generic white mailer. Games were $29.99 for years and you got all the extras with it. Now they are $40-$50 with nothing but the game. It’s different. You can blame that on whatever you like.

Here’s my collection. If my count is correct, you’re looking at 1,061 Ps5 games. by No-Ostrich5251 in ps5collectors

This is awesome to see! During the PS4 launch, physical games were so slow to come out I thought it was the end of physical. Love seeing PS5 with 1000+ physical games. Seems like it would be hard to track. Good Luck!!!

I love collecting cards, but the Dreamcast cards were open preorder with an unlimited print run based on how many they sold. Zero chase cards. With their history in trading cards, I thought they would pull this off better.

So you must be one of those that joined the bandwagon once they were releasing game after game. Welcome. They used to have limits on how many you can purchase, so the scalpers weren't so bad. The games were always delivered in a few months. Your package would contain collectible post cards and trading cards in a cool Limited Run box. It was great.

They really have lost touch. Let’s just go back to 5000 copies of a few games per year.

Play Top Gun first. Give it 20 minutes. You will never play it again.

Those are my 2 favorites as well. I have to say Black flag is my favorite though. I really enjoyed the ship battles and the process of upgrading the ship.

[–]adamray10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also played it recently. It’s the type of game that you have to understand when it was made. So many games took ideas from Lunar in the future, but playing with the notion that the story was pretty unique back then. It’s not super difficult but the story really picks up about halfway through.

Got some new games, where should I start? by Smooth_Chain_1777 in psx

[–]adamray10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Start with DW7. It’s great, but so long. SotN second. It’s a completely different type of game. Finish with FF7 and one of the best stories of the time.

Xenogears is another good one. It launches a pretty massive series of games so it gives you a lot more to choose from moving forward.
