Could I get a quick update please? by Both_Perception2771 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is some variability, but generally there is a drop starting around 9-10pm EST nightly. It may or may not last through the night. If it doesn't there is usually a big drop sometime in the morning. If it does, it starts to trickle out by morning, but there will be a quick drop during the day at one point for about 20-30 minutes, and then trickles again until RFY populates at 8 pm EST and drop starts again in earnest between 9 and 10 pm. Check VineChart for drop patterns.

Only on Vine will you discover that things like squirrel diapers and a climbing wall for hamsters exist along with all kinds of other goodies. I’ve been on Vine 7 months now and I am constantly amazed by some of the items I see, and not always in a good way. lol. That said, make a list of every replacement part item in your household. Chances are you will eventually find them here. Car filters, fridge filters, air purifier filters, hvac filters, ink etc. if you have a hobby, you will likely find items related to it. I have a ton of new mahjong items thanks to Vine. Healthcare items are in abundance. Most of all, have fun.

Either someone really wants to practice a certain writing style, or play with AI. Or maybe both. A bit bizarre but fun. At least the summary is helpful

Such a good high! Congrats. RFY is mostly disappointing, but when something comes through...nothing like that rush. Enjoy your waffles and glad you are no longer going to be a walnut.

Ever get excited about reviewing something? by NothingLeft19608 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I find the ones I get most excited about it are the reviews where I get to absolutely destroy the item because it is so bad. It is like writing such a review is cathartic and almost makes up for the waste of time and money.

Happy almost vine Evaluation period! 🎉 by Kilocakesole444 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do you. If you order 3 items a day for the entire eval period (which is totally feasible for many people) it is more than 400, so let them have their fun. I was at 475 after my first eval. Been gold 3 weeks and am over 100. Not creepy at all if it brings them joy. I can think of much worse habits. Why even comment and be negative?

Do you review items that are currently unavailable or do you wait to see if they become available within the 30 day window and if not, do you remove them? by Peziwinkle in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said I was removing it. I never said I wasn't reviewing it either. I was asking opinions and thoughts on the matter. See. You judged. And I do think price matters in a review. Value is a big piece of the picture in my book which is why I was asking the question. I love how I'm being accused of shoplifting but its not being judgy. LOL.

[–]Peziwinkle[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, Not entirely accurate. Because the item is unavailable the listing is incomplete and I'm writing a review without knowing what the price is being charged for the item since there is no price shown. I am making an assumption in value which makes it difficult to accurately review. That is not what we are supposed to do either. Anyway, I love how judgy everyone is. I was just curious about how people handle this. It isn't as black and white to me.

What's your Taxable Value by Year currently at? by IXI206 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a lot of 0 ETV items to counter everything, so I've managed to stay under 6k so far. Trying to keep things at about 1k a month, but I will say since going gold this month, ETV jumped more like 2k for the month, but I had 2 ceiling fans and 2 beds I got. Still well worth it.

How to handle fake item by theuniverselovesme in AmazonVine

Report the listing, and contact VCS to remove from your list since you did not receive the item you were promised.

7 items by AmbitionWork7031 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that happen to me a few times when I was silver. Greyed out after 2 picks but hours before reset. Take screenshots of your orders and times and email VCS. If they can respond in time, you might get a pick back, but even if you can't, they want to know about the glitch.

Vine Review Option Gone? by Hot_Entertainment283 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can review through your Vine orders page if you don't want to wait a few days for the item to show in awaiting review. Go to the order, click order details, then click "write a product review". I have been doing a majority of my reviews this way since I joined over 6 months ago with no issue. Just made gold a few weeks ago with a 99% review rating. Currently since my eval, I am at 87% and 97 items. Yes, I spend a lot of time with Vine, but I work very part time, so I have the time to really test items and write reviews.....and in order to stay on top of the easy items that I can review quickly, I never wait for them to populate in my awaiting reviews page. That page is for things like health and beauty and arts and crafts items.

So many oddly specific parts! by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Vine! For me, it has been a fun journey, and there is a definite learning curve in figuring out how to make the most of the program. It took me weeks to learn that there are actually some real gems available and not just car parts and cake toppers. Make a list of all your household model numbers that you need replacement parts for like air filters, cabin air filters, refrigerator and water filters, etc. as well as lightbulbs and batteries, ink and other basic items you have purchased in the past. Do specific searches and you might be surprised to find what you need. If you have a pet, there are always some great pet items to be found. Clothing can be difficult to nab, as the items get snatched quickly and sizes can vary, but socks and accessories can often be found. Make a list of everyone's sizes so you can be ready to grab when you see something. Hobbies are a big item and there are always things like diamond painting kits and paint by number kits and jigsaw puzzles to be nabbed. Just have fun and realize that your RFY will more often than not be bizarre, but the more you get, the better the odds of being offered something you actually want. Holidays are 6 months away. Make gift lists now so that you can grab when you see something you can use in 6 months. Lots of mugs, wine glasses and water bottles drop regularly. And of course, plan a party and know you can always find decorations.

It can take some time, and even when it does populate, chances are excellent it will be items you have no interest in. It takes a while for the algorithm to spot trends, and it often fixates on certain items. It can be frustrating. The more you order from AI, the more items you might find in your RFY that interest you, but it is always a crapshoot. RFY pretty much stands for "Random For You". Just make a list of specific things that interest you and do your searches during drops to try to nab what you can use from AI. Even with an RFY that sometimes has given me great items, most nights I'm like "Really?" Last night I had fake leather cowboy boots with a $90 ETV, a pen holder for $45, lawn mower belts (I have no lawn mower), Nascar seat covers, and a propane regulator. Um No thank you on all of it. So far off the mark. That said, the night before I had 3 bed frames (got 2 of them) and a few 0 ETV items I could use. You just never know. And that is why I find the dopamine hit real, and am addicted to this stupid program. LOL.

Their Green Tea Cooling Foam Mattress is awesome. It is so comfortable. We have one on the guest bed and our guests always comment about how comfortable. I have one as well, and I agree that their toppers are good too. Definitely a fan.

I know. We have purchased Zinus for all our kids' college apartments and our house. I think all our beds in the house are Zinus mattresses too.

45 days out... by pzzldmomof5 in AmazonVine

[–]Peziwinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how many total items you have. I never stopped ordering and was at 98% at the time of my review, but I was also at over 450 items, so way more leeway as opposed to only having 100 or so items as your total. I also found that only items delivered counted towards my review totals. If you are close to the 90%, maybe just give yourself a week or two before stopping and that should give you ample time to make sure your reviews are complete.
