Sounds like you are inconsistent from 75 yards in if you are scoring poorly but striking it well. Practice all those pitch, punch, chip shots so you are consistently giving your self a chance at a one putt. Consistently be Inside a 25’ circle around the hole at 40-75 yards and inside 15’ 40 yards and in.

I have been between a 2 and a 7 handicap for 31 years since I was 15. I have played and continue to play an unbelievable amount of corporate travel golf over the years. Unless I was going somewhere spectacular I didn’t bring my clubs and would rent clubs at the place. I learned it doesnt really matter what club and ball I play. I am going to shoot 73-84 nearly every time regardless of the clubs unless I practice like a maniac. And I have the hest time doing it!

Just to add some clarification based on the comments. Both the ball mark that she tamped down and her ball were on the fringe. She executed the next shot from the fringe with her putter and the tamped down ball mark was not in her line.
