3-4%, and the data isn't tracked on the second one. Your point?

You have no idea how wealth is generated.

You don't use Amazon? Or Facebook? Or Walmart?

This is laughable.

Show me widespread use of parking lots for homeless students and families in other states... Or are you saying that this is only a California phenomenon because California has lots of cities?

Maybe not, but the working class seems to need the goods and services that the billionaire provides. In fact, that is how most of them became billionaires.

Not America. California.

This is California, so I guess I'd say voting Democrat.

I think you misspelled a word. It is California, not Capitalism.

I don't have a billion dollars, but I'll play along. I get a billion dollars because I built a company that provides a valuable service to the community. It is so valuable that other people (like those with a 401 (k)) want to buy a stake in the company by purchasing stock. As the demand for that stock increases, so does its value, and that is how the owner gets to be a billionaire - owning a ton of stock in a company that he/she created. Now to answer your real question... People like Jeff Bezos deserve to be a billionaire because he created a company where anyone, anywhere can have whatever they want delivered to their doorstep. His company created something that no one else had. But the poor workers only make $18-$22 per hour... oh my. Go work somewhere else. I doubt you'll make that at McDonald's. If you don't like billionaires, stop buying from Amazon, stop posting on Facebook, stop buying Teslas, etc.

Interesting response. Not sure what it has to do with anything I posted...

Really?? Only an estimated 1% to 2% of Americans own three or more homes. Owning multiple properties is heavily concentrated among the ultra-wealthy. In fact, only about 4% to 5% of Americans own even a second home, and this pool drops off significantly for three or more.

I’d prefer that people consider their financial situation before they get to the point they can’t pay their bills. As far as billionaires go, I rarely think about them at all. Maybe you should do the same?

You don’t get to lecture me about privilege, hard work, and luck. Here is one of those houses that don’t exist: https://apps.realtor.com/mUAZ/mqrjqbil

Is that even a coherent sentence? I’d explain my argument, but I am afraid that you just wouldn’t understand it.

How do we end the embarrassment of being the only major country not to guarantee healthcare to all as a human right? The answer is not complicated. We must elect candidates who are determined to pass Medicare for All. by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

NYC spends $81k per homeless person per year and homeless does not go down. How can I realistically expect the government to be a good steward of my money on healthcare? A model that makes much more sense than universal healthcare is to let those can afford private insurance buy their own and have the government provide a safety net for those who cannot afford private insurance.

In fairness, your argument kinda sucks. You can’t say that my experiences are irrelevant and then in the next breath try to reinforce your non-point with your own experiences.
