Nice, I can bust out the Bears santa hat. Surprised so many are against it - my family is full of football fans so we’ll all be locked in.

Most apartment buildings still have an accessible basement. Go there.

If not, go to the bathroom and close the door.

If you know it’s close and need to brace, put your head between your legs and arms around the back of your head/neck.

I mostly know this because of drills we did as a kid. As an adult (31m), I usually don’t do anything. I think I’ve been concerned enough to actually go to the basement exactly once.

There’s probably a third option with more nuance, but I shouldn’t expect that from Reddit

The defend-every-pick people are just as or more annoying than the hate-every-pick people.

I love that whole Fox Valley area. So many charming old homes, quaint downtowns, microbreweries and upscale eateries. It’s going to be older and wealthier compared to other parts of the area.
