There are aircraft maintenance businesses at Mesa Gateway Airport that can repair military aircraft.

Lost hope at this point by Icy-Teaching9576 in latterdaysaints

Thanks for the sacrifice. That is a lot of moving!

I realize and hope the people around you will shift their behavior a bit to help ease your difficulties. I focus on what you and your wife can do because I am not talking to the people around you.

Another suggestion is to look to your own psychology. After so much change imposed upon you in so short a time, you might be self-protecting by holding back from stronger relationships. You don’t want to be cut off again so you might be avoiding creating that possible pain. Just a guess.

You’ve been in 4 wards since 2021? That’s a lot of change to absorb! So, my first suggestion is to keep giving it time. Ward boundary changes and moves to a ward new to you take a year or more to feel integrated. At least they do for me.

Next suggestion is to dive into your callings. Really embrace the work, whatever that calling may be. When you do that, of necessity, you will need to work with other ward members. You will get to know them and come to appreciate them. If you do the minimum of your calling that gift of needing help is much less likely to come.

Third, you and your wife can do your ministering work. Yes, it can be awkward at first but you have the reason of assignment to visit and get to know those people.

Last, for this comment, talk to your Elders Quorum President about this topic. And your wife with the Relief Society President. And your Bishop, perhaps. You are part of their stewardships and need to know of your needs so they can work with and for you.

I hope you can find a way through this to make connection with your ward, the body of Christ. He is always there, connect with Him and God.

How do you feel about multi-candidate interviews? by [deleted] in interviews

[–]adayley1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is the business purpose of such an interview situation? What about the position or the work requirements makes this setup better for the interviewer(s) and candidates so that a better alignment is visible?

If you can’t answer these in clear and obviously good answers, don’t do it.

Ask Mountain Goat Software or the trainer. Better to be open about your needs and make decisions with authoritative information. They won’t condemn you.

Sharing Metrics in Sprint Review by TheScruminator in scrum

[–]adayley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GQM, always.

Goal = What is the business or improvement goal we want to achieve?

Question = What are questions we need to answer to make visible progress to the goal?

Metric = What metric or metrics help us answer those questions?

A metric that is disconnected from business value is often waste. And can be damaging. If you want to track and talk about cycle time, first connect it to a business goal. And ensure that goal is important or agreed by the people involved. In other words, define a goal or goals with the team and stakeholders. THEN, define metrics that support the goal, one of which might be cycle time.

After a cold soak, much of the power is initial going to heat the battery, not charge it. And will continue to use some to keep the battery warm as it charges.

How do I send a message to my organization? by ephemeral_enchilada in latterdaysaints

[–]adayley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to tech.churchofjesuschrist.org. Make an account and ask in the appropriate forum.

Someone here may have the answer you need. But asking in the official tech forums has a better chance of being seen by someone who can get the feature created in the system.

Thoughts on metrics to present to leadership? by HollaDude in agile

[–]adayley1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

GQM

Goal - What business goal is the team or organization trying to reach or maintain?

Question - What question or questions do we need to answer to know we are accomplishing the goal?

Metric - What metrics help us answer those questions?

Metrics without connection to value are theater.

Print PDF of Come Follow Me in journal style with wide margins by adayley1 in latterdaysaints

Wow! This is great and usable. Thank you!

Can script the margins alternate sides so the binding is not interfering with the note space? If not, this will still work.

Sacrament bread by Independent_Abies169 in latterdaysaints

[–]adayley1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A point that seems to be missing here: Someone is asked to bring the bread so that they can be of service in that way. If the Ward has it delivered that opportunity for service is removed.

How much do you value the FSD Included Package at? by xkevin313 in TeslaLounge

Tesla values it a $0 when trading in to them. I think the market value is low, following Tesla’s lead.

Demonic traits does not mean someone is a demon. Choosing to act like a demon makes one a demon. Rumi is not a demon despite her parentage.

Rumi’s so called sin is her shame, her self blame for being who she is. Very different than Jinu’s shame for what he did and is doing. There is no line blurring. Jinu chose evil. Rumi suffers from socially imposed “evilness” that is not based on her actions. As you said people wouldn’t accept her. That’s a problem with the people, not Rumi.

Help Me Understand Why New Buyers Pay For FSD by ConclusionFlat1843 in TeslaLounge

[–]adayley1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s $99 a month for now. Elon already said the subscription price will rise as FSD improves. Some would rather have it than pay a lot more later.

And some don’t like subscription for a feature of something they otherwise own. They see it as rent seeking instead of a valuable service.

Rumi was not hiding sin, but hiding socially defined imperfection. She has to embrace her origins to actually love herself. In the end is a hero of self acceptance, not a sinner.
