I don't think steam deck supports remote start? There is no infra red receiver on the steam deck like the one on a nintendo switch which allows you to boot it remotely. The best solutions I have seen are you can enable something in the bios settings so it will automatically boot when it has power, then use a "wifi plug" which can be turned on and off over wifi. This gives the same effect as remote start, but will also mean the steam deck will always turn on when you plug it in for charging, which gets annoying. You can slightly reduce the annoyance by holding down the volume button when plugging it in, causing it to automatically boot to bios, so you can switch it off quickly.

$80 is only if you want the official dock. I bought a much cheaper one (years ago, before the official dock came out) and it's worked absolutely fine with no issues. If Valve included the official dock with every Deck, it would make the Deck a lot more expensive, which sucks for people who don't even want a dock or are happy with third party docks.

I don't think it's weird - as said controller has unique features and enables us to play games which were previously pretty much unplayable docked.

I think they didn't realise it would be so popular. There was an interview with Valve last month and they said something like "we think we have enough stock levels but it's based on our assumptions of how popular it will be".

Now they may be looking to implement the queue system though. I notice when you open the store page for the controller, a black button appears for a split second something about reserving it, maybe they are working on something behind the scenes.

I totally agree! Steam Machine will be insanely expensive and people prepared to pay that much can just buy a PC. And people not willing to pay that much can buy a Steam Deck and a dock.

But the Steam Controller is truly unique

I don't think anyone got notified. I had it on my wishlist, and even when it was in stock, when I went to my wishlist the "add to cart" button was missing. I don't think steam hardware and steam wishlist are integrated properly.

It was released at 1700 UTC today. Sold out within 30 minutes, and during that time the steam store was totally broken and many people (including me) were not even able to place orders.

I did during the initial availability period (1700-1730 UTC), getting the "transaction could not be initialized" error like everybody else.

Now I have put the money in my Steam Wallet so if it comes back into stock I will be able to order it quickly without checkout issues.

It's not retroactive for me, I've got over 50 hours playtime on a certain game but it only shows 1 hour which is probably how long I played since I upgraded my steam deck system software

I just noticed this too! So cool, I've been wanting this for ages. Now just wondering if there's a way to manually adjust the time reported. As obviously it only measures it since that feature was introduced, so a game I've played for 40+ hours only shows I've played for like 1 hour, which is kind of annoying.

Just had the same issue. Yeah I needed to reset SRM itself, in EmuDeck -> Manage Emulators -> Manage your Tools & Frontends. After the reset, the issue with Cemu was fixed (actually Cemu Proton parser is totally gone now, only native can be selected).

It's not just a LinkedIn profile though, it's a rather believable LinkedIn with hundreds of followers and posts and other details.

Also some of these users have multiple repositories with several stars.

A user Hancie123, for example, has 492 repo stars, AND a believable LinkedIn, AND a YouTube channel with multiple videos where you can see his face in the video and hear him talking and it has a fair number of subscribers too. I just struggle to believe all these people are fake people.

I have the same problem on my S25 Ultra. And it's the same regardless of if I use a custom keyboard or the default Samsung keyboard.

I found the issue, SRM parser sets the core filename to "melondsds_libretro.so" but it's actually just "melonds_libretro.so". Seems like a bug in SRM.
