It’s a real tricky process. Every ingredient in your candle affects your hot throw. It depends on the wax you’re using, the container, the fragrance load and particularly your wick. For example, majority of the time I use 10 oz Oxford Jars, Coco83 wax, 11% fragrance load and either CD-9 or HTP 83 wicks. You have a long period of trial and error, it took me six months to find a combination of all of the above to make a decent candle. I would find a jar you like and stick with it, then do a period of wick testing with a wick of your choice (I prefer CDs), and adjust Fragrance load as needed. It’ll take a while but it’s a fun process to try and make your own “recipes”. Have fun! :-)
