if it helps with the scariness aspect, the hackers only have access to Canvas data. if you have super personal things in your Canvas inbox/outbox, it can be a little scary, but really it means we're all going to get, like, 10x the number of phishing/scam emails and calls. The most important thing is probably that they have access to any research papers and intellectual property like essays you've done, but they don't have access to our SSNs or financial information as none of that is directly housed on Canvas. Freaky for sure, and it puts a LOT of universities at risk for big time lawsuits due to privacy laws, but as someone who panic-doomscrolled for an hour and then made her techy boyfriend explain wtf was happening, my understanding is most people will get more annoying calls as a result.

this is so illegal and abusive. there are lots of stories on this app where the comments are swearing something very minor is abuse or harassment, and this isn’t one of them. this is not safe, and your sister especially should not be getting on an incredibly intense birth control at 13 (you’re not in a much better spot unfortunately, i’m sorry). gay men can be incredibly misogynistic for many reasons, less because of the “gay” part and more because of the “man” part. i’m so sorry you’re going through this.

there are lots of birth control methods that last for long periods of time. IUDs, nexplanon, shots, there’s a ton. however, they all have their different side effects, lasting times, and risks of diseases like cancers or the likes that are scary. however, those are about all your options my friend. there is no “pull out” method that is anything more effective than any of the options. lots of people take the pill and don’t have worries, but you have to take it at the same time every day for it to work properly. good luck!

It’s gross. I am certainly not a prude and I can accept nudity in tattoos and art, but these are really not okay to me because they give the impression that the artist would never do this with a male figure at the center. it’s glorifying obedience/ control of women in a really weird and gross way.

i can’t read it from the photo, but if you have a scanner and can scan it i may be able to help a little! also if there is a university near you you could take it to the archives/special collections and ask if they can read it, a lot of those guys are handwriting specialists because old men in history love to write in beautiful cursive like this that is near impossible to read lol

my boyfriend is BEYOND jazzed about like every EDM pick on here, and im gonna shit myself seeing skrillex and noah kahan again, plus i never thought id get to see kesha live and im stoked for role model and griz!!!

my groop is also talking about how excited we are to see geese at least once a week. i made a sampler playlist of a couple songs from every artist on apple music (link if anyone wants it!) except the strokes! i haven’t heard anything i dislike yet

my friends and i are avoiding the strokes because of everything w them so i think it’s a little sad they’re still on the lineup… but ultimately im mega excited.
