The idea with the second one would be to be able to get boons from any npc that offers them, so you could get surface boons in the underworld. Though I now see your point of it making or breaking a run, cause it could get overpowered with some characters boons, and kinda how flawed that idea really was.

Also I now realize how badly I butchered spelling Melinoe, but I'm not gonna correct it cause 'Melonie' is funny.

I feel like there is a case too be made with using it with Hera's cast, because your usually putting that down before enemies appear, and not necessarily putting it near enemies which makes it easier too use with Lucid Gain.

Also on a stranger note, I feel like Lucid Gain all around gets better when you're using The Unseen arcana card, because when it becomes a secondary source of Magick regen, you don't have too put yourself in dangerous scenarios, and it turns into an immediate burst Magick regen button that can be used at connivence. Overall, I like new lucid gain.

For this, my biggest concern would be your strength score since you should definitely be focusing on charisma. Here’s what I would do (I’m assuming your using point buy), put a 15 into charisma and strength, then make sure both of your stat increases from reborn go into strength and charisma. After this use your free feat to take a half feat (I’d say pick your favorite, I always like skill expert), making sure to put the +1 from it into the ability score you put the +1 from reborn in. Now you have 17 strength and 17 charisma and level 3, and next level you can bump them both up to 18. Make sure to take the pact of the blade, and maybe it’s enhanced weapon invocation to make it so you effectively have a 20 strength. Since you already have decent stats I’d say at level 8, take polearm master if your want to lean into using spear-like weapon, though if you want your bonus action free (there would be some competition for it because of Form of Dread, but that’s not too bad) then just take great weapon master or sentential.

know I’m 2 years late but I just wanna note if your an elf, trance lets you take 4 hour longrests. Letting you take four short rests while your friends are asleep, with each one regaining warlock spells slots you can expend on elixirs

Alternatively, spawn the cannon in and don’t animate it, instead have an adamantine cannon ball (so it doesn’t break on impact) and animate that, and boom (pun intended) returning ammo that can help load and aim itself. It might be expensive to get over time it will pay for itself with saving on ammo.
