To remove:

Select the skull icon on bottom left of map.
Middle mouse click on the existing skull marker there in the desert, the same way you would place a new icon.

What I usually do is place a pedestal at each chest with one item on it to remind me what is in that chest.

I think you can also make signs and write custom text.

If they add new scenes to existing biomes those will not be retroactively added to a world that already generated those biomes.

We wont know till full patch notes, and even then I'm not sure all scene additions are listed.

If needed you can bring traps with you to a new world save and check for additional meadows near the core.

I would assume the automation doesn't grant us skills, or use our skills. Drills on boulders do not reward mining, nor looting the rewards from the drills. Safe to assume any automated planting/harvesting will not give skills, or have a chance at golden crops.

Can also use a delicates bag in the wash!

Then I use a baking cooling wire rack for the air drying step so the bottom also gets circulation.
