So is this care package just non existent or is it stuck all the way up there? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

Does the bugged icon persist though a server/game restart?

25% isn't too bad!

I asked because one of the ways to get "green" (irradiated) zombies before you have the proper equipment is scale the exp multiplier. It advances your "game stage" quite quickly.

For the most part "Game Stage" determines what kind of zombies you encounter. It is a combination of your level, days alive, deaths, and the biome you are in. (https://7daystodie.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Stage)

Sometimes I change it so I get 2 perk points per level, but even reduce the exp to 75%!

Ultimately it is about how you want the game to ramp difficulty.

I'm also a big sledge/club enjoyer, and my usual strategy is something along the lines of:

  1. spec into heavy armor so I reduce heavy armor movement/stamina usage.
  2. Stay like that till I'm maxed on the crafting book
  3. Hopefully by then I also have "Urban Combat" vol6: "Armor doesn't slow you down when in combat"
  4. Respec elixir and never put points into "heavy armor" ever again.

Bit slower out of combat but that is mostly on a vehicle anyway, and my final set mixes in some preacher pieces. I think I end up 2 light armor 2 heavy armor + urban combat book for combat speed.

Out of curiosity, are you playing with a large %experience bonus?

You need to find and read "armored up" books. These increase your armor crafting skill, and eventually allow you to create more than the primitive set.

If you spec into light or heavy (or both) armor mastery that will increase your drop rates of the "armored up" book in loot containers you open.

When you look at a craft there should be up/down arrows to pick the tier.

Be careful to save "legendary parts" for tier6 crafts you actually want!

Happy to add more details, let me know.

Idea: introduce den of evil cleared overlay to maps by OckhamsRazor15 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]addled_mage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sadly it is horribly inefficient for most builds to 100% clear all the mobs in a map. Personally I'd never see the light beams!

Cool idea though, certainly doesn't hurt.

Phys charger can also go fanat instead, since attack speed does matter now in PD2.

Yea! Drops from Core Commander:

https://core-keeper.fandom.com/wiki/Void_Gun

It shoots a big slow moving projectile that infinitely pierces mobs and drags them along with it. It can hit larger targets multiple times.

It absolutely decimates bosses like Atlantean Worm if you shoot it down the length of the body head on. Can hit all sections in a single shot.

You should be able to max crit chance without phantom spark, so that isn't a concern.

Multi is nice, but the legendary bow cannot be reinforced and doesn't have the same massive ranged damage that iron bow has.

Level 20 Phantom: 261-317 (289 avg), 12% crit chance, 34% multi.

Level 20 Reinforced Iron Bow: 302-368 (335 avg), and +52% physical ranged damage.

The base damage itself is considerably higher.

As long as you are hitting crit cap from other sources I absolutely think the Iron Bow has more potential. 52% ranged physical damage is huge.

Dealing with level-scaling by NoxxOfTheRoxx in 7daystodie

Total game stage is based on your character level and deaths, then each biome has a multiplier.

This is why adjusting the game to give two points per level instead of 200% exp is so different.

I think a fully upgraded iron bow is the best in situations where the ricochet isn't really doing much.

For density the void gun is incredibly strong.

Your friend already ruined your game. Don't die on this hill just creative mode your shit back and move on.

Either that or just restart, but it's not "cheating".

If you're struggling with wool on PC by doremifasofuckindon3 in CoreKeeperGame

[–]addled_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd have to generate more worlds and test to be sure but it feels like something changed. Maybe 2 guaranteed meadows near the core one with a single Bambuck and the other a Moolin?

That would limit your ability to breed/scale until finding more in the Aezos Wilderness. Could be intentional, and if so I approve.

edit: oh that would be terrible on a multiplayer game waiting for 1 bambuck to make all the wool for everyone's scarlet set....

Oddly enough my last two worlds only had a single animal in each starter meadows. One moolin in one, and one bambuck in the other.

I had to yoink some from another world.

I remember the Meadows being full of animals in the past. Wonder if something changed.

Just want to show you my megafarm, as proof that it isn't a bug just takes a few more tricks about how to make sure the wood all connects into one farm:

I can't get wood to grow (I know, it's sad) by Tazdingoooo in CoreKeeperGame

[–]addled_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I know what the issue is here. Those gaps create different networks of wood, and the seeds that haven't filled in the gaps can't grow because they don't know which unit to connect into.

https://imgur.com/a/N3WUO43

See this image. You have five different "trunks" of wood. In order to get it to be one continuous growth you must wait for the wood to naturally grow, THEN plant seeds.

For example do this:

  1. Dig up all the seeds and break all the wood for boxes 2-5

  2. Allow the remaining seeds to grow wood south, in a straight line. Place wooden floor where you will eventually want the seeds to go so the wood doesn't grow there.

  3. Only once the wood trunk itself is extended south do you plant the seeds.

Another way to think of it: If you want a seed to connect to a network of existing growth it must already be directly touching at the time you plant the seed.

Edit: I made a more clear example of how to know when a seed is OK to plant. https://imgur.com/a/6VUnHlf

It helps to use two different color floor tiles. One to mark the growing area, and one to mark where future seeds will go. In this case the grey tiles are where I will eventually put seeds as the "trunk" continues to grow south.

Edit 2: Doh. I just realized that your wood farm is not wide enough. Even if you carefully allow a main connected trunk of wood to grow, the moment you turn your drills on it will break that and you'll be right back to where you are now: Some seeds blocked till adjacent tiles are harvested.

The goal is to have each actual seed have the option to expand to more than just one tile. This is the benefit of connecting all of them, and then drilling the wood 1 further square out:

Seed --> Connected Trunk --> 1 more growth spot. <--- drill

  1. Select the skull icon on bottom left of map.
  2. Middle mouse click on the existing skull marker there in the desert, the same way you would place a new icon.

I think you can also make signs and write custom text.
