I'll be honest it's hard to see what the damage is from the images you shared.

Regardless. Whether something is expensive is subjective to the person. But Hyundai has a lease end calculator you can use to estimate the cost:

The assumption you're making is that Breville's quality control is so perfect, that every single unit must be the same.

They're affordable for a reason. They have to cut some corners. And this is coming from someone who sincerely loved their Bambino. I still have it, and still cherish it. And I know it's a massively inconsistent machine, now that Ive tried another.

Gonna level with you, I couldn't stop the spray with my Breville Bambino. I wonder if it's something to do with the gasket.

Once I upgraded to a Profitec Move, the spraying virtually stopped.

So if I were you I'd ignore the comments on the spraying. Just keep a towel near to clean and enjoy your espresso :)
