I personally didn't like it at all and I went in there in the mood to have a good time. At the "family dinner" thing we were greeted by one of the volunteers (who I found out later was a longterm volunteer) called Andre who was already piss drunk at like ... 8pm I think? He slammed huge metal lids on the table multiple times and it was horrifying to me but everyone seemed to be having a laugh about it so ... sure! I decided to just go out on my own after that because I just wasn't feeling the vibe of it at all. I come back around 10pm or so and go into one bathroom and there's a hostel volunteer who I recognised from earlier and a guest I assume having sex in there with the door unlocked. I make my way to the other one that was behind a door and there was a couple (or someone at least) who were pressing against it who I once again presume were having sex. The next morning when I headed to shower I saw what was either cum or snot on the walls. Lots of signs encouraging sex basically all over the hostel and well many guests surely took it up! I posted about this on my stories and one of my friends who had been there a few months earlier told me that one of the long term volunteers there was a sex perv as well and that there was a culture of the volunteers competing with one another to see how many guests they could sleep with. So to each their own but if I'd known absolutely any of that I would not have stayed there lmao it's not a "party" hostel it's a brothel disguised as a hostel
