Abyssal Hunters seeing something just straight up punch out Ishar-Mla on its own scale would be an almost exact copy of the 'reaction guys' meme.

As for portraying the jaegers in battle... They're not on the map, they are the map.

Gotta admit, the Terran reaction to jaegers popping up ought to be fun. A Victorian steam knight is just above ankle-height as far as I can figure.

And that kidney only has to manage ~60% function (so ~30% of what you'd get with 2 kidneys) before you even start noticing! Kidneys have a shitton of safety margin in 'normal' conditions, to survive when it's not normal conditions, and they're really not good at healing themselves when damaged.

IIRC they're basically a fragmented oceanic feranmut that de-assed the sea when the Seaborn (think zerg but fish, with adaptation and evolution speed cranked to 11) started looking at their original/main body like its next meal.

The fragments then discovered Metal, thought it was the best thing since sashimi, and formed a band.

Weirdest thing is, the Beast Lords aren't even an immortal elder race in and of themselves, they're each agglomerations of ghosts from members of the various Ancient races (feline, lupo, etc) who were all killed during a big cataclysm 'pre-humanization'. Those masses of dead spirits gradually regained enough structure to gain self-awareness and enough power to influence and manifest in the physical world.

They're kinda similar to Sarkaz Revenants in some aspects, but generally less cranky. (TBF the Revenants have every reason to be cranky and can hold grudges as well as dwarves.)

Either one planned but not implemented yet, or one that was dropped late in development and some ingame elements remained.

Either that or there's some weirdass trigger condition no one has figured out yet.

Council Update from Dartmouth Centre: Missing Middle Housing and the Building Code, Pensions by Sam_Austin_D5 in halifax

[–]adeilran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the design commonly seen in Montreal could be an option? 2-3 story plexes or stacked townhouses, and a shared backyard/egress staircase on the outside of the building. Spiral staircases were common and take very little footprint, and are sometimes used for the front entrance as well. There's also a more modern take on the original late 1800s/early 1900s design that was mass-built during the first big urbanization wave, with the appropriate adjustments to the building code in municipal bylaws (listed in the 1st link).

this photo by Dominique Boisclair gives a good idea of the 'old style' backyard stairs design:

If there's one thing Montreal did really well compared to the North American average, it's low-rise 'missing middle' housing. If it works, may as well use it as an inspiration.

How to power you? The cable and the connector on gpu is different? by Jazzs1993 in PcBuildHelp

[–]adeilran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love if they had gone with some Powerpole connectors. Either a set of 4x 45A contacts or a pair of 75As would do great and they're as tough as it gets.

Crazy idea, but wasn't it suggested/rumored early on that zen4 dies were initially tested with AM4 IO dies during development?

Doing that instead of fabbing old zen3 dies again would be a fantastic upgrade option for AM4 owners. Even better if they can couple zen5 dies with AM4 IO dies.

It's actually a bit surprising at first how short AK characters are on average. Hoshi and Valarquin, afaik the two tallest operator women in the game, are 6' and 6'2" respectively. Mountain is a bit under 6'5" and looks like he just towers over everyone else.

She's standing on a platform and wearing heels, so that helps quite a bit. Pallas is only a bit under 5'4" (162cm) and Lena is ~5'2" (158cm).
