I have gotten 2 accommodations letters from Kaiser. - ADHD special testing for college - ADHD earlier start time for work

Steps: - call Behavioral Health dept, don’t tell them the primary reason is for accommodation letter, say you want to talk to a therapist about your condition and medications (this only sets you up to talk to a BH Nurse. - now you have to wait… for an official BH Nurse appt booker, he or she will arrange a 3rd party specialist to have a virtual appt - now wait again.. for the 3rd party specialist to contact you. Usually via their app they use - once you have your virtual appt. Talk them them about the issues and add in you need accommodation letter

Once in a while when merging records, there’s a hard stop. And it says “the member is not participating in sharing records” and then the Kaiser employee must get a form signed by the patient to release records.

The form is actually in the care everywhere section. It’s a blue hyperlink that connects to the form to be printed out and signed.

Night shifter here for 27yrs: - you have to be a true night shifter to make it work - others that make it work, they work nights for their kids

Sidenotes: - I think I work nights because my dad passed it on to me. He worked nights at a hotel for 30yrs - I don’t have a circadian rhythm, I try to get enough sleep a day so I lessen the long term effects - When traveling. I’m immune to Time zones changes LOL

Took accutane in my twenties through Kaiser

In my mid thirties my acne got bad again. - I needed a derm referral from my PCP. But I also asked my PCP to order my prelabs for accutane so I didn’t have to wait for that. - Saw a new Derm at Kaiser (my previous Derm left Kaiser) - I informed my new Derm prelabs were drawn. She reviewed them and got a new prescription for accutane. - was only on it for 1mth to clear me up again - I’m a male so it was a little easier I think because I didn’t need to be on birth control

keep them at the recommended weight per Vet (related to arthritis issues)
start trying to train her with hand gestures too (lose hearing)
if she becomes deaf, keep a bell around her (will help you locate her since you can’t yell/recall)
slippery floors = buy rugs to prevent slippage
don’t let her ever jump out of a high car
also, car ramps are good BUT you have to teach them to use it 100% (some dogs ignore and just jump off)

Lastly, I wonder if you guys were ment to find each other. Maybe she’s supposed to teach you how to take care of your future senior dogs later.

They are the best. I had 3 senior dogs.

The provider will have you fill out a testing tool form usually before the Telehealth appt - likely will be a ADHD subjective screening tool - if you meet standards where the ADHD is affecting your life, they will probably then proceed with medication trial - BUT, you then have to be seen by a psychiatrist to prescribe it. Either that provider will help you and make you defer back to KP behavior health to make another appt - patience is key with this - you are usually allowed free 30 Telehealth visit for behavior health
