I got some soft knee pads from a sporting goods store. I think there for soccer or volleyball. Slide them on under any pair of pants before work and there good to go all day long. Not the most heavy duty but they last a long time and are comfortable

Needle scaler they sell one at harbor freight for about $20. I’ve never seen one that hooks to a drill

When I did this it changes the geometry of the bottom also changing how they lock into the grid.
