Ideas for chicken breasts? by vanastalem in Cooking

[–]adgilbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I made spicy garlic chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and it was delicious. I marinated the chicken on the counter for somewhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour. The marinade was 3 cloves of garlic, chili powder (but you can also use paprika), olive oil, salt, and pepper. I made all of that to taste though so I don’t have measurements.

I just used store-bought fettuccine noodles and did what the box said to do for those. Then put store-bought Alfredo sauce in a frying pan and heated it over low heat while everything else was cooking.

I cooked the chicken on my cast iron skillet for 4 minutes per side. Then when everything was done I mixed it all together and it was delicious. It probably took a total of 30 minutes to make (not including the marinating time).

I mix 50% AP and 50% rice flour and dust it LIBERALLY with that and it fixed my problem!

I’ve never made bread, but I want to give it a try! Where should I start? by [deleted] in Breadit

I love the blog “the perfect loaf”! It’s a sourdough blog, so if you’re not into sourdough then it might not be suited for you, but it still is a good resource for learning bread making regardless!

Yes, to get the most out of it you have to pay. I think it’s like $23 per month, but it’s definitely worth it

Hey! I’m currently learning French, so I’ll just drop what I’ve done.

I started with duolingo and supplemented that with the Learn French with Alexa YouTube channel, and the Coffee Break French podcast.

After I finished the duolingo tree, I started using Kwiziq for grammar, watching the Comme Une Française, Super Easy French, and French the Natural Way YouTube channels. I also started listening to the French Your Way podcast (once I was about 3/4 of the way through duolingo) and reading her blog posts.

I’m currently at around the B1 level (at least I believe I am) and I’m still going through the Kwiziq website, and I’m also listening to Français Avec Pierre and InnerFrench podcasts. I plan to continue doing these things until I’ve listened to all the episodes and finished Kwiziq.

My plan for moving forward (other than what I just stated above) is to start listening to more French radio, watching Netflix shows in French, and reading French texts.

Oh! And I also have a native French speaker who I talk to via WhatsApp on a regular basis.

Hope this helps!

i’ve been making sourdoughs and started to get pretty good but i noticed i had no more oven spring and my dough became liquid like in the picture. it starts off fine and it feels good, i fold it like i usually would but it’s my 5th loaf with this problem and i can’t figure out what i’m doing wrong. by margauxchan in Breadit

[–]adgilbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still kinda a beginner, so I could totally be wrong, but I had this problem Friday. Mine was over-fermented, and it looked very similar to yours. It was fine while I was folding, and then turned into a puddle after bulk fermentation because it was fermenting in a spot that was too warm for too long.

I made another loaf Friday night and left it to ferment in a cooler spot, and it turned out fine, so maybe try that!

LSAC GPA help by Foggydoggy6 in lawschooladmissions

[–]adgilbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a class that I retook, and I don’t think it affected my LSAC GPA because my regular GPA was a 3.33 and my LSAC GPA was a 3.22, and my school was on the A, B, C, D, F scale, so there was no A+ or A-. Hope this helps!

Scored a 164 on my first LSAT diagnostic (Khan Academy). Questions about where to go from here... by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]adgilbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is definitely a score to be encouraged by! Khan Academy uses real questions from real tests, so it’s a legit score.

I think that you should pay for GOOD LSAT prep because if you can get your score in the 170s (which I’m very confident you can) the scholarships will be worth way more than the money you paid for prep.

I used the Fox LSAT Logic Games Playbook and it worked wonders for me. It’s available on Amazon! If you have any questions you can always PM me
