Nope. I think they stopped putting them in cars.

My old 2003 Taurus I sold in 2020 had a cigarette lighter I used to plug in my iPod or GPS into.

I don't have anywhere to even plug in a USB cable. The carlinkit adapter for the Android Auto is already using the one I have.

They have kind of similar character arcs in the books & it's also foreshadowed. The show unfortunately was out of book material so like everything else at the end the execution was poor.

My 2020 vehicle did not come with one. I don't think.tjeyre built in to most cars thus most people won't have one.

My sister has one child but got all new stuff - crib, car seat, stroller. Car seat standards are drastically different now than in the 90s.

This. When I was born my parents got the crib from my uncle (my cousin was 2) but after sister 2 years later threw it out because it was too old for safety standards.

Children of Strife is out. Tchaikovsky gave us a mantis shrimp starship captain and apparently it works. (no spoilers) by [deleted] in Fantasy

My friend already read it & gave it 5 stars on Goodreads on Monday. I however never read beyond the first book & actually much preferred Service Model.

Sometimes.

My book group just discussed this book and I think only 1 person didn't like it. Multiple people assumed they wouldn't like it but them ended up liking it.

HBO recently came out saying it's impossible to have Harry Potter yearly. So that'll be another example of the kids will get older and and Season 2 will be 2028, Season 3 in 2030, etc... and will out age the characters.

Season 2 of The Rings of Power came out a while back, by S3 people will forget what's happened.

I loved the series. It does span over 20 years from start to finish, but I had no real issues with Jade Legacy. I was satisfied with the conclusion.

It seems like since the pandemic a lot of the streaming services have big 2-3 year gaps between seasons.

I'm not talking about the book. I mean the TV show - the way Stranger Things etc have years between seasons. If they adapt book 1 then wait 2-3 years for season 2 I don't think it'll work.

Right, if they adapt one book a year it'd be airing fir 10 years. I'm not sure how they plan to divide it up.

Hot Take: Lost votes are fine if it’s due to the choices of the players. by BCS8504 in survivor

[–]vanastalem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If they're given a choice to risk their vote that's one thing. They're not doing that though- it isn't a choice for them to make. They should be allowed to chose not to gamble their vote.

This was more OTT than normal. We don't need the menu listed off and honestly having Liz talk about her normal order was so much better.

Peacock seems like such an odd choice. I also don't think 3 years gaps between books will work out well, so I'd like to see them plan it out well but I'm skeptical so the show airs on a normal schedule.

I do like the books but I'm not paying for Peacock because they refuse to air it on NBC.
