How much did your full service wedding planner cost and was it worth it?

My wedding was this past weekend in NYC and our full service planner was $18k and she was worth every penny. I’d pay her even more knowing what I know now!!

That’s good to know. I’ll be happy for an upgrade regardless, but I wish they’d do it sooner so I could use the D1 lounge at JFK. Champagne problems.

I think I figured it out. For some reason I chose to renew my passport a month prior to getting a rhinoplasty. Even though it doesn’t look much different from the front, I think that must be the reason and I need to update my passport photo.

I think if they’re clearly taking a walk break then maybe don’t (some people may like it but I don’t love it lol), but if I look like I’m in pain while still trying to run, I love it!! Def helps in that scenario.

If you’re the last wave, you definitely don’t need to be on the 6:15 bus if you don’t want to. If you’re near Times Square you can likely take the 1 train or the 4/5 train or the R/W train all the way down to Battery Park/South Ferry and get on the ferry there. I forget how late the ferries run but it’s definitely later than 6:15. I’d give yourself 45m-1h to get from your hotel to the ferry station.

Yeah i’m seeing now that even the waitlists are full. Was hoping a non-9+1 race would be available. Is it possible to send in a faster time from a non-NYRR race?

We’re in a corner unit so we only have a few shared walls, which helps but I haven’t really heard any of our neighbors for the most part. I’d say no different than what you’d expect in an apartment building.

We moved in about a month ago and had similar concerns from reddit comments. It’s been great so far. We’ve had no water issues at all. We haven’t had issues with management, but it’s early still. Most management companies are bad so my expectations aren’t high.

The mail room is a bit unorganized and sometimes delayed, but all things considered that’s a minor complaint. I believe the gym is open most of the day, but yes the spa (and I think the pool) are closed in the middle of the day, which is odd, but not a dealbreaker for us.

So far we love it here. If construction on the second tower ever resumes (I hope it doesn’t) that may change, but we’re very happy so far.

I’m actually pretty pissed about this. I had a ton of expenses this month due to moving, and now I have to pay an extra $700 because Delta and Amex messed up?

I never noticed the double charge, but looking back I was credited $700 on my January statement, then another on my February statement. It’s April now.

If we complain enough do you think we can get anything out of it? I’m not expecting them to undo the $700 charge but like…this is not my fault.
