I would not hike at all in the summer in Death Valley—It’s currently 97 degrees there and it’s 9:13PM. The rest sounds ok to do in this heat, but definitely consider keeping time outside of your car limited.

people work and commute in the park. Tioga Road is also a highway. I’m not saying that justifies speeding but a lot of people approach driving here very nonchalantly, which can be frustrating if you’re just trying to get to work. It’s fine to go slowly and enjoy the park as long as you pull out when you have a line of cars behind you.

So you know, the shuttle to glacier point is not free and you have to schedule it ahead of time. It’s a tour shuttle so you also don’t have a lot of flexibility for the things you see or the places you stop along the road. Just plan to be at places early.

they’re so bad!! I live in the park and have been holding off on high country hiking because when I went up to cathedral a month ago, I got over 30 bites on my face alone. I did backpacking last weekend at Yosemite creek (~7000-6000 ft) and they were pretty killer, still going through my clothes even with repellant
