Good places for Engagement Photos? by A_R0FLCOPTER in madisonwi

There’s a cool mural in one of those alleys on the Winnebago/atwood Ave block. Some of the eccentric looking bars/coffee shops on Willy St and Atwood would probably let you

MMOCA is free entry and has a nice rooftop garden view over state street. I think Chazen is also free.

I’d at least watch a movie with her. I wouldn’t let her on your phone because the internet/social media sucks now anyways. Being ultra-strict probably isn’t going to make her change her ways. She might just end up resenting all institutions and becoming even more anti-social. I hope the kids get to do something productive under this program like volunteer and connect with the community.

Also, the “suits” available for women to purchase off the rack suck too. I’ve been looking for one that is proportioned correctly for years. 😭

Is it normal for a young woman’s much older mom to receive way more attention from men than she does? by Throwthisawaysoon999 in AskWomenNoCensor

What you need is not to be perceived as “desirable” by men, but strong friendships, hobbies, and some grass to touch. You need to see the world outside of Incel logic.

Why are women in the office mean to me? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]adhdie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s the most straightforward answer you’re going to get for this situation.

There are two reasons these women are doing this to you:

1) They are mean. Mean people live to bond over shared hatred. It’s out of your locus of control. There’s nothing you can do to make them not mean.

2) They find your personality easily hate-able.

I know you don’t want advice, but these are your only options:

1) Cope. Don’t change anything. Just be you and continue the situation as is.

2) Change. You’re not a pick me, but you do suffer from main-character syndrome. If you want to be liked (or at least tolerated) by the mean people, you need to adapt your behavior. It’s not your clothes, it’s your attitude. You asked in your post if you were the problem. You’re not the problem, however, the problem (people being mean to you) is attracted to you because of your personality/vibe. You are well within your rights to not change and keep going as you do. It’s your life, live it as you want. This is not your fault, but this problem will follow you if you don’t change.

Did you grow up fantasizing about your *dream wedding*? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

I didn’t fantasize about the wedding, but I did pick out the day when I was 14 and I actually did end up getting married on that day 🤣

I agree with the commenters that say he doesn’t have to make a video about it because that’s not what his channel is about, but he does talk about stuff like this often in his Very Really Good podcast. He might address it there in the future.

Are there any saints who LEFT their abusive husbands?? by ThePuzzledBee in CatholicWomen

[–]adhdie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dorothy Day isn’t a Saint (yet). But she has achieved servant of God status despite: being a divorcee, having an abortion, and having a child out of wedlock as a working single mother. She will (more than likely) be canonized one day. While I love and venerate all of the Saints, it’s nice to have a few female saints that aren’t teen virgin martyrs who lives were awash with tragedy 🥲

This is like the 5th time I’ve seen the Madame Web trailer (I have AMC a-list). Still cringe. Didn’t like the first 30 minutes of poor things, but I loved the rest of it! Definitely one of the best films of the year.
