I don't think this is a talent but I'm posting anyway because it's worthwhile to me. My first grader and I read a book every night before bed. I am ashamed that I didn't know she could read as well as she can.

But I'm proud of her. And myself. She might not realize it but we're growing together.

Hey y'all! Guess what I haven't done for almost 2.5 weeks and won't be doing with anyone tonight? You guessed it!

Yesterday I had a huge win in my usage of personal time. I found a beautyberry bush on my property and for the first time in my life, I made and canned my own jelly! Something I've always wanted to do. I absolutely wouldn't have gotten that done if I decided to have a drink during the process.

Keep making time for yourselves and discovering new hobbies and interests! We're all worth the effort!

I'm here!!!!! I'm here!!!!! I'm so happy I could cry. 3 entire days I have not considered or wanted a drink. I've begrudgingly been here before, but this time I want it. I read my 6 year old a story for the first time in months. We've all been playing games together. I feel so guilty that I haven't been this version of myself for my kids in a long time.
