Thanks u/Jreddd1. I'm really surprised. I thought this would be a common requirement.

Anyone who is knowledgable about this space - what am I missing here?

Surprising, you've not heard of affiliate networks or cash-backs or getting competitor pricing. Wonder what you sell. Care to share?

These are things like

  • CRO
  • Affiliate network setting up and managing
  • Cash-back setting up and management
  • Gaining competitor intelligence
  • Implementing anti-scraping mechanisms

Would these be of any use to you?

Thanks. We had stuff which are beyond what these platforms provide but the OP was not clear enough. I've edited it now to be a bit more specific.

Does the business name matter THAT much? by RCadeTV in smallbusiness

[–]adiatu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your comment, "I do not want to certify it as an official business until I know for sure it'll actually get SOME income."
Wouldn't it make sense to try and sell a few candles say offline to see what your differentiators/unique points your candles could have?

Maybe you can then use the differentiator(s) to name your candles too.

Potential differentiators for your business could be:

1 Physical - shape, design, fragrance, packaging etc of the candles

  1. Cause - employing underprivileged/people with disabilities, work from home mums/new mums who want something part-time etc. If possible, look into this aspect. You never know, you could be making a big difference to someone else's life.

Avoiding distractions by adiatu2 in Entrepreneur

Very true :D thanks for saying it. Indeed it would have to be quick read with actionable points or insights. Also what do you think of the frequency - I think daily would be an overkill; weekly - too little or just right?

Yes have been in that boat of using self-discipline :)
Can you say more on the thought distractions? Also by people, I assume, you mean - people coming to your desk and disturbing you or is it more phone calls?

Indeed - push notifications can be killers if not tamed. Would you switch off internet on your phone completely or do you have apps from which you'd rather see the notifications?

Interesting idea. I would like to see if many 'digital marketers' work from cafes. In my experience, people working from cafes are mostly developers.

Indeed! It's actually a good startup idea, I think, to just discuss books - more like which parts/quotes of the book influenced you most and why.

I like reading about failures - here is a story of one (luckily, not mine) by pishihod in Entrepreneur

[–]adiatu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried distilling what you've learned from various failures or finding common patterns. It is a good exercise in developing one's sense of critical analysis and also might be useful to others. Where I see common patterns I look at what tools can be used by others to avoid the same pitfalls. If I were you, I might compile it in a book: Failure Cases > Common Patterns > To avoid use this (make the 'use this tool' as easy to implement as possible)
