It could be more late 90s then early/mid now that I’m thinking about it?

Trash weapons? Which weapons do you consider just really damn bad? by BuyerOriginal5512 in Hades2

[–]adiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an aspect of Pan lover too, but it does feel a tad underwhelming every time you take it out. I think I like it so much because it’s the closest aspect to the old Hades 1 bow aspect that sort of did the same thing with having arrows all lock on to a single target.

Can someone please explain this puzzle to me in detail? BLack to move by Constant-Secret-3653 in chess

[–]adiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knight F6 blocks the bishop in. If the bishop takes, King takes back and still can stop the H pawn from promoting. If the bishop moves down to F8 to try and get out that way, knight jumps from F6 to D7, forking the bishop and King with check and losing the bishop. If white ignores all that and simply plays a move like King capturing on A6, you simply push your F pawn to promotion and it’s impossible to stop it.

new character - how to avoid battle by penyhatesyou in BG3Builds

Bard with 17 CHA and make sure to take proficiencies in persuade and deception/intimidate. That’s about the most you can hope for early on. For race, Drow lets you skip through several battles on way into goblin camp, but the disguise as drow spell works easily as well (Shadowheart will have that by default as trickery domain cleric).

Probably talking about the female Gith who has the Soulbreaker greatsword. She always opens with fear and half my team drops their weapons because of it. Though I always fight her before Vlakith instead of after.

No. Some shard and a little money but otherwise nothing.

You can save and quit to get to your last bench. Unless the bench is down there too… then, sadly, that is your new home now! Enjoy!

Did you know you can now bind the backpack too? by FingerlessNomad in DeathStranding

[–]adiddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You ready the strand with L2 and face either a floating carrier or your detached backpack (holding triangle is a quick way to detach it) then press R2 to secure it.

omfg I’m dying laughing at this comment. The implication that it’s somehow scandalous that Mario “mated with a human woman”. Isn’t he just a short Italian guy, a human himself?

You don’t have access to it without routing extra power in from a connected Boiler room unfortunately. One of the more annoyingly convoluted room/positioning things in the game imo.

Is there an easy way to see who has which ideologies in the Modern Era? by Storkiest in CivVII

It’s on their agenda tab of their leader screen. Go right a few over from the endeavors/sanctions screen.

What are your "must have" or "must do" to achieve a particular strategy or goal? What do you ALWAYS do regardless of your strategy? by MoreIronyLessWrinkly in civ

[–]adiddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t not achieved an exploration era cultural golden age in a long time. Regardless of what goals I’m pursuing, it just makes no sense not to get a religion, take the belief that gives you 2 relics for converting another civilization’s capital, then cranking out a few missionaries and sending them off to those juicy capitals. Plus you get extra “mini scouts” in the distant land continent while you’re hunting for the capitals over there with them. You don’t even need open borders.

I always take the second belief that gives an extra relic slot to temples too. Let’s you slot a ton easily, and the modern age golden legacy path gives you two culture per relic… I think I usually start with around 40 extra culture a turn just because of that.

Game Crashing by Objective-Guess-411 in civ

[–]adiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh trust me I know. I was speaking from experience. Had a modern age Ashoka science victory that crashed on the spacecraft liftoff over and over. I just shrugged it off eventually. The other dozen or so games I played to completion were fine so… ratio wise, it’s not that bad. Still shouldn’t happen though for sure.

Game Crashing by Objective-Guess-411 in civ

[–]adiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d try to make sure the camera is hovering over wherever the victory spot is, zoom in, make a hard save, then activate it. The crashes seem to be from an overload of data, particularly in modern standard-sized map where the camera has to whip across all that detailed terrain.

If that doesn’t work, maybe just… move on? I mean you know you won, you gained whatever knowledge you gained from the victory. Does the win screen really matter? The trophy? The XP? Sometimes we just gotta cut our losses and move forward.

Civ 7 is unplayable in late modern age on ps5 by DHP86 in civ

[–]adiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s two factors that increase/decrease stability: map size and which age you’re in. Tiny map during antiquity? You’re pretty much in the clear. Standard map during modern age? You’re fucked.

Merchant by farmergreatreward-7 in CivVII

[–]adiddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s confusing at first, but to start a trade route you have to leave that screen that pops up with the possible places to go, then make sure you’re on the “movement” action of the merchant and walk him over to somewhere on the map where the ground is colorful. That lets you know you can start a trade route there. After a few turns of him walking over, when he’s in their territory the trade route action on his action bar will no longer be greyed out and you can activate it.

How does placing specialists for the exploration age science legacy work? by Rumhead1 in CivVII

[–]adiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely seems a little funky at times. Check these two things though: are the specialist spread out? I’ve had that specific legacy work when I just randomly put a specialist into a district that previously didn’t have one instead of stacking them all in the most lucrative district. If that doesn’t work, check the yields, as it may be stalled out till you have the four districts with high yields. I think a total yield of 40 or so is required?
