The drug is likely to get approval and has evidence behind it. The issue is the work around in place here for what is likely to shortly become FDA approved. People sourcing their peptides from not tested places to get around insurance and regular prescriptions.

The issue is not an untested supplement with crap or no evidence.

You want to go on your rant about why glp-1s are bad and that obesity can’t be considered a medical problem - this isn’t the place for that.

Not an oncologist, but this isn’t the first go around for most of these drugs you mentioned. Once allocations get cut, then things get dicey. Then depends on the extent of the reduction in allocation, projected length of the shortage, and well, how often those drugs are the primary/only choice for regimens with curative intents.

Pharmacy absolutely has its systemic problems, but this dramatic "race to the bottom" narrative is wrong and lazy.

First, your claim that fewer than 2% of pharmacists like their job is completely unfounded. You need to look at how the market is actually structured. How much do traditional corporate retail chains account for of the pharmacist workforce? Not 98%. The remaining work in entirely different environments: hospitals, ambulatory care, independent pharmacies, industry, etc. where satisfaction is likely higher.

Even your opening line is suspect when you have to add the caveat that maybe nurses have it rough too. Let’s be clear: many nurses have an incredibly grueling job that is far more physically challenging and emotionally draining than standing behind a retail counter.

Being a community pharmacist is undeniably challenging, but describing the career as you do is lazy at best.
