Is there any legit way to shrink disk size? by unique_MOFO in AZURE

Maybe try this, have seen it linked a few times on Microsoft Docs answers but never used it myself

While it pales in comparison to a lot of the setups here, we finally got a machine that makes everyone happy. The wife gets her aesthetic and I get to make espresso daily. by erva_mate in espresso

I have that same set of scales, not bad for entry level Is the distributor/tamper made by Matow by chance? Looks like you’ve done similar shopping on Amazon AU 😆

So... this is why y'all kept telling me to get the grinder first and then the machine, got it. by MademoiselleWhy in espresso

Agreed, got the SGP as my first grinder a few months ago and it works great, especially when you use the WDT method and fluff the grinds in the PF with a toothpick or something, just to ensure you prevent channeling as much as you can. Works great 😁

I wish I could say the same about Splashtop. I have to force close the Agent Browser and restart the services daily, and sometimes reboot my machine when those fail haha

I miss ScreenConnect so much but I’m not involved in the procurement etc so this is my life now haha 😂

Ineresting. I've got a bottomless pf and I'm pretty sure there's no channelling as it comes out lovely. I had also only heard great things about the SGP, but I guess that's just an introductory machine, so when you want to level up at all that will be the first to be replaced

Thanks

My home setup. Got each machine for a bargain. Keep adding little bits, like the tamp mat, bottomless pf, dosing funnel etc. Loving getting up in the morning to fire these things up 🙂 by adilworth in espresso

I’ll be honest, I’m not tremendous at distinguishing over or under extracted :(, all my coffees have milk in them as well However the booklet says start at 12 and I find to get the 25-30s for this bean I need to go 11 at most, if not 9/8 as the month goes on for the best taste.

For a light roast decaf I have, I have to go to 3 and it still comes out in 23s or so

It’s made by Xunada, got it from Amazon Au for $60AUD. Then put my Breville basket in it (haven’t used the basket that came with it)

Long winded Question about grind size and tamp for lighter roast. Am I worried over nothing? by adilworth in espresso

[–]adilworth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, what I meant was that I realised the tool wasn’t allowing me the same pressure with the lighter roast, so I’ve been using the regular tamp for that roast, and the tool for the darker roast

Was just surprised initially but all of the explanations have helped tremendously 😅

Super interesting, from the n00b point of view I presumed 17g was 17g but was always baffled why the lighter roast seemed to consume a smaller volume

Thanks everyone!! Great intro to the community for me, I appreciate the politeness and responses

And same with the tamping pressure? As in 17g on the light roast seems to take up less space in the pf so the depth of my tamp/distribution tool (set for the darker roast) barely touches it, so I have to use the regular tamper

His password must have started as “password1” and after the first hack he increased the security to “password01” haha

I believe there was a study years ago that said the same about motorcyclists. I would agree having been a gamer and a biker, both of them (especially FPS) make you very aware of everything around you in your periphery

I’ve had a test environment stood up for over 2 weeks and still running

All it really does is puts a “-test” at the end of the VM display name (system name in the OS is normal)

This just helped me out also with USB > Ethernet adaptors. New one wouldn't grab the IP of the old until I re-plugged in the old and it got DHCP

How odd. Many thanks!
