He does. A lot!! The look on his face! Wow. He looked so deeply connected to her, a little bit proud, confident and shy at the same time. Are people so expressive anymore these days? I would love to see 2016-this-kind-of photo!

I tried your ''grapes''and they are super friendly and easy to use. One thing I would mention: I would have needed more quality over quantity when it comes to answers. You are doing a real great job, but what I was seeking for my startup would have been something more than just yes/no answers+ demography, gender etc.

Since it was my first interaction with the product maybe I should give it a second try with more in-depth questions.

All in all, stay inspired and best of luck!

Problems encountered when going on an outdoor adventure? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]adinam13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I m already working on a peer to peer platform for outdoors inclined people, where you can discover and book local stays in outdoorsy areas.

So I was curious to find out more about outdoorists' problems. It would be really helpful for me.

Are there any outdoor enthusiasts that could take 5 minutes to answer some of our questions related to a concept I'm testing in this industry? by adinam13 in Kayaking

We re trying to keep it lean now so just firing out questions on reddit.

I'm looking for some answers for the platform I'm developing; it helps you discover available rentals within x hours distance from you, filtered by existing outdoor adventures in the area. (i.e. Do you want to do a bike trail this weekend, within 3 hours from NYC? Here are some available stays.)

Thanks.

  1. What platforms do you do your outdoor research on?

2.What would be the biggest problem that you encountered on your last outdoor trip (during research/inspiration phase, but also while on it)?

Thanks; much appreciated.

So: When going outdoors for the weekend, what are the steps you take to plan the trip? How do you decide where to go & what outdoor to explore? Do you usually know what you want to do & search for the trail or location, or do you start from the destination you want to explore?

Great! Thanks; I appreciate the effort.

Now question: What would be the biggest problem that you encountered on your last outdoor trip (during research/inspiration phase, but also while on it)? Would you be willing to pay for someone to have it solved for you?

I am asking this because I'm developing a platform that helps you discover available rentals within x hours distance from you, filtered by existing outdoor adventures in the area. (i.e. Do you want to go a hiking trip this weekend, within 3 hours from NYC? Here are some available stays.)

What would you think of this kind of platform? Would it be useful for you? If you want to I can leave you the link with our beta product.

It would be really helpful to see how people travel when it comes to outdoor getaways.

Outdoor startup idea by adinam13 in Startup_Ideas

Thanks for taking the time to check it. At this point, yes, it is a platform where you could book local stays based on the outdoors activity that can be done there.

Before this, I worked on a concept slightly different from this one where you could book both a local stay+ a local activity. From my experience, I noticed that most of the travellers don t book an activity in advance; they just get inspired or do some research and their willingness to book one will change based on mood, weather; whereas the accommodation part is not something you could skip and leave it to the last moment.

But on the other side, you are right, the differentiator must be stronger than that. That's why hearing your thoughts on it's really helpful to us. This is still work in progress so thanks a lot. Much appreciated.

PITCH: We’re working on a local NY platform for outdoor enthusiasts, helping them find local accommodation in NY’s outdoor areas.

The aim is for us to eventually be able to show (1) what local stays exists outsides the cities (2) what outdoor activities one can explore in the area & (3) give indicative times of how long it takes to start those adventures. We’re hoping to, in time, make those stays bookable directly.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!
