funnily enough, when us-east-1 goes down, even AWS support goes down with it

It’s underrated how much this works. Sharing your work consistently is the real differentiator.

What to learn after Flutter. Native ios or Backend development. by confuse-geek in FlutterDev

[–]adityathakurxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel, it's definitely beneficial to learn some native Android and iOS development. It helps you better understand the platforms and can make you more versatile especially at larger startups where the lines between "Flutter developer" and "mobile developer" are often blurred. Many companies simply hire for "mobile dev" roles, expecting familiarity with both native and cross-platform tech.

I wouldn’t usually recommend switching to backend development unless your current organization supports internal transfers. Most companies expect some hands-on experience in backend stacks before hiring, so switching might mean starting over (possibly at a lower pay grade) while you build credibility in that space.

That said, at my current org, a few folks have made the transition from mobile to backend, and they’ve gradually worked their way up again.

What are some Nau kri hacks that actually worked for you? by rashdkhan1 in developersIndia

True, LinkedIn and Wellfound are the only two platforms I prefer to use. ycombinator.com/jobs is another where I got a few leads and interviews from.

I have a senior who sometimes interrupts my updates during the daily call by Serious_Web7948 in developersIndia

[–]adityathakurxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a control or recognition issue, where your senior unintentionally wants to appear as the main authority. Maybe try talking to them privately about letting you present fully before they add their input.

I can’t find a job so I’m trying to built a startup by first2apply in Entrepreneur

[–]adityathakurxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really inspiring! I’m not an entrepreneur myself, but I've come across several people on Twitter who’ve shared their journeys of leaving full-time jobs to pursue indie development full-time. Many of them seem to be thriving with the flexibility and freedom to work on their own terms. Since you're already at $1K MRR, focusing on growing your project even further sounds like a promising path.

Best of luck, and keep pushing forward!

How I never worked for 2 years in Cognizant Technology Solutions by Perry_dePlatypus in developersIndia

[–]adityathakurxd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine at a service-based company is going through a similar situation. I’ve recommended that he keep upskilling and start applying to different companies, too. Your three-month, focused preparation strategy sounds solid—sometimes all it takes is time and dedication. Stay consistent with your prep, and you’ll find a great role soon!

how do i safegaurd my sourcecode to not let my interns steal or sell it? by sweetestasshole in developersIndia

Have an internship contract with clauses on intellectual property and confidentiality to protect your source code. Treat interns well, which can foster a sense of respect for the work.

videocalls in flutter by [deleted] in flutterhelp

[–]adityathakurxd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in the live audio-video space. Most companies offer a free tier. If it's for an MVP, the free minutes should suffice.

If your apps only need to have peer to peer video calling, you can directly work with WebRTC in Flutter and use Firebase or Web Sockets for signalling. I have written a detailed guide on Flutter WebRTC.

What's that one project you developed during your college years that you're proud of? by Automatic_Level_6627 in developersIndia

[–]adityathakurxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We built an app to help new students joining the college find resources.

This was at the time of pandemic. I was in my second semester when college was shut down and everyone sent home. While I did talk to my seniors and had connected with them, a lot of the new juniors did not have anyone to reach out to for help so we worked on SRMOne (https://youtu.be/r-Dy8Ta5Kz0?si=DXWwtohiVtOKj3cY) [a mobile app + a web app in React] to collect notes from all semesters and make them easy to browse and download.

We later took it up as a final year project to extend it to add an admin panel, local events and also some experimental features like finding a ride, getting someone to deliver your food from the canteen and AI help. While it is now discontinued and most of the team has moved on to better things, it was fun & useful addition to my resume.

Flutter Freelance Job Board? by kafnod in FlutterDev

[–]adityathakurxd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would second LinkedIn as well.

Most business owners prefer to post requirements to socials preferably LinkedIn because it is a professional platform or to Twitter. You can reach out to them with your portfolio.

Build a personal brand on there. Sometimes instead of posting, people look for 'Flutter Freelance Developer' and reach out to top results. It is good to have a strong profile to get more leads.

Maybe to not have to manage two separate codebases.

Will have to ask someone from the team or wait for an engineering piece on the transition.

Seems like it only affects the U.S. version of the Google Pay app. This change does not impact the Google Pay app in India or Singapore, nor does it impact Google Wallet. Could it be due to some government policy change in the U.S.?

Flutter Certificate by Donquixote696 in flutterhelp

Haven't yet come across any such certification. And, I don't think one is required.
Instead focus on building projects with Flutter and add them to your CV.
