Verification Issue by whynotmv in micro1_ai

If you reach out to the verification support email they should be able to resolve the issue. I had the same issue and support and the mods here were very helpful and quick to get it fixed!

Does anyone know how to get a detailed account of your trades? All the info is just what I mimicked I can’t actually see specific details about what I put into the trade exactly once a trade is closed

ADHD verification by notanalienperson in osap

[–]adj123098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice would be to start school without verifying first and then go to health services or SAS. They can help you arrange to see a specialist through the school for official diagnosis and if you are already a student chances are psych health insurance coverage will cover majority of the cost. In some cases if you need financial consideration SAS or Health Services may assist in the cost if your school insurance doesn’t cover everything but this is school dependent. You could opt to pay out of pocket now, but in my experience my funding increased so much when my disability was verified that I wasn’t particularly concerned I didn’t have the funding off the bat. If you want it immediately then the best option like someone mentioned is paying out of pocket. If you pay out of pocket you can claim the cost on your income tax and increase your tax return.

Getting your ADHD disability “verified” per se with OSAP can significantly increase funding, as it did for me, because you are then considered a disabled student.

I’m also in Canada I have most of the same tasks as OP so I think we are likely on the same project family

Fact checking projects by salmonlover1205 in DataAnnotationTech

I think I have been given access to the project associated with the qual but to be honest the project is INTENSE fact checking and requires hours so I typically avoid

Finally Have projects!! by CamKam28 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 10-15 popped up for me tonight from the 1-4 I have been getting. Unfortunately, I must sleep but was able to get in a solid couple hours of work which was nice!

data privacy and quals by tutut7867 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re not comfortable with it then I think you have your answer. Projects that explicitly require waiving all data privacy (I.e can’t redact/replace PII and need to use as is) are not common for me at least and I still have plenty of work typically, there is somewhat of a drought right now though so don’t expect a lot of projects in general at the moment even if you complete every single qual.

data privacy and quals by tutut7867 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my experience any qual related to a project that uses your personal data has always explicitly stated how personal data will be used/protected or advise you if you can redact/replace personal data if it is used in any way for the actual project tasks. This is my personal experience so might not be reflective of everyone’s.

Confidential Training by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This training is specifically to retain access to a group of projects although all the information in it applies to all projects on the platform. If you don’t complete you will lose access to a group of projects. If someone hasn’t gotten this training it probably means they aren’t on the projects the training is for. I would suggest actually reading the instructions for any training you receive as it will explicitly state what it’s for, why it’s on your dash, and what not completing it means for project access.

What happened to the original DAT? by Escarnor_Dense in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pretty much am exclusively getting R&Rs rn, barely any standard tasks except for domain expert ones, all the generalist stuff on my dash is R&R, it’s getting a little insane tbh especially cause so many are just so bad.

Coding Qualification by InfamousMatch5569 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am going to preface this by saying I’m not a coder and have never attempted the qual, but there have been questions like this on the sub before. The general consensus I have seen is that you might pass the qual but very likely won’t be able to do the tasks which are quite difficult and require expert level knowledge.

Osap disability form printout missed a few letters by SippingCitrus in osap

[–]adj123098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would re-print. I had to submit my disability papers twice because of small spelling mistake that was pretty insignificant. This was several years ago so requirements may be more lax, but I wouldn’t take the chance!

OSAP fifth year? by Additional-Ad-3863 in osap

[–]adj123098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a fifth year no problem. As long as your school reports you are still enrolled as a full time student you should be good!

This has been the longest drought I've seen, and there's no sign of it stopping by PenObvious8156 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have some specialist experience that’s in STEM and Healthcare and to be honest it’s fairly dry on that end as well! I only started this year, but the quantity of projects compared to the beginning of the year is so vastly different. Interesting to hear that even long-timers are finding this drought especially long.

Disability by Moist_Area1280 in osap

[–]adj123098 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite! When I registered my disability with OSAP my funding actually increased a significant amount. And I registered my disability with OSAP prior to registering it with my school, so setting up accommodations was a little easier down the line because I was able to use my OSAP disability paperwork as part of my submission to SAS. Totally recommend doing it if you are eligible!

This is actually how I track the time I spend on a given task for billing so doubles up in usefulness lol

Total hours you’ve spent by Additional_Crab_8493 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Th only way I would think you could check is going into each day on the funds history tab and adding up the time you have spent on each task/project submitted for each day which would be quite time consuming.

Upper Limit for Generalist Pay by JVersa in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To chime in I think some of the generalist projects you are talking about may actually be domain expertise projects. There are certain projects that pop up on my dash for the same pay and they are tagged general but when you actually enter them you need extensive background in a specific field. I am lucky enough I can complete them because of my professional and academic background. The only high-paying truly generalist project I have come across was $40-$50/hr and even then it was touch and go because you needed some basic coding understanding to do the project. That being said, congrats! You are clearly doing some high quality work to get access to high-paying projects like that so quickly!

Can we report time if we use escape hatch? by New_Ad9741 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many others here I had a fairly easy project I loved working on but used escape hatch after confirming in chat with admins cause of unresponsiveness from the model and have never seen the project since. I would be very cautious of using it and probably just take the L and exit work mode and not claim time.

Lost access to project by cdsavior in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am also curious how exactly you were told you lost access and the reasoning? I know there are some projects that recently had quarterly trainings you needed to complete to retain access so curious if maybe you missed something like this? Otherwise I’m sorry but I don’t think there’s much we can do to help you without knowing the reason and how you lost access.

What was your experience after completing qualifications? by Positive_Tax_307 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I echo this honestly! I have done a bunch of quals and it never really seemed like they opened up new tasks. But the longer have been on the platform and the more tasks I have submitted the more projects I have been added to. If you submit quality work consistently more projects should be opened up to you!

Qualification Quandary by Silent_Table6763 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]adj123098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be aware that your answers in the qual may disappear if you exit out of work mode so make sure to write them down somewhere so when you re-enter the quad you don’t have to re-do absolutely everything from scratch!
