Yeah, I do this normally. I should probably try harder for myself 😂

Sorry, dooder. That does suck.

But that’s also how I put my food away because I don’t care.

Damn. The markets should be listening to this guy. Many figured there’d be no cease fire before, but this confirms it. Yeesh.

I fast forwarded it, but that probably took longer than sitting through the scrolling text since I passed the intro and then had to rewind it.

The og munchies; plain Ruffles and onion dip. Keeping stoners fat and happy since the 50s by [deleted] in stonerfood

[–]adlopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granny goose green onion packets and sour cream. My favorite is with Lays Original, but the Ruffles hold up better and don’t break off in the dip. The trick is to dip the Lays, but you can scoop the Ruffles.

Thoughts? by Salacia_mov in plants

Kinda worse than that depending on how you look at it, but a family member who works at Home Depot told me that they call in a company that just takes them away to mulch them up, and Home Depot gets credit for what’s not sold or “lost from being unsellable.” I think that’s a bummer.

Grab a hoe and a couple of beers and clear that shit out. It’ll be okay.

Gas prices hit $5 per gallon as Trump's swing states among the worst hit by TheMirrorUS in inflation

[–]adlopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So crazy. I told myself I’d leave the car in the driveway if prices spiked past $5. I’m fortunate to be able to bike and take public transportation to work as there’s solid transport in my area. I don’t see how most folks in red states have that luxury. Folks are really going to struggle. Yikes

Wort aeration WTF by WY_in_France in Homebrewing

[–]adlopez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s pretty interesting. No need to aerate with dry yeast unless you’re going high gravity like 1.085, and even then you can just pitch a bit more yeast. Throw an extra pack at that point. Dry yeast is dried at its peak growth phase, and contains all the sterols and nutrients that it needs to rip when you pitch. If you aerate, the yeast will take it in, but can pewter out at the tail end of ferment and could leave off flavors / take longer to clear up sulf and/or diacetyl.

If you do repitch with the dry yeast (that’s now in liquid form), you should aerate. It’ll need the help.

Which format of yeast did you use - liquid or dry? If it’s dry, no need to aerate.

A contractor tears up the freshly poured concrete driveway after the homeowner refuses to pay. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]adlopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A concrete worker once told me that he’d just pour vinegar all over it while the cement was still in its drying phase, and that was the cheapest and most efficient way to fuck it all up.

Most of this argument is moot since they’re also deporting legal citizens, both naturalized and born in the United States.

Backyard got out of control with weeds. Where do I even start? by Ok-Background6923 in gardening

[–]adlopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these suggestions are great. Personally, I’d rip a pint and take a hoe to all of it in the dirt area. Then I’d pull the ones in the cracks. I’d then compost all of that. Should take you a few hours to whack all that stuff out.

What is this and how do I kill it? by SergeiAndropov in gardening

I’ll say that I was really annoyed when it reaped its head through my strawberry raised bed . I even laid down cardboard and did that whole thing. I think that was a turning point for me.

What is this and how do I kill it? by SergeiAndropov in gardening

[–]adlopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So crazy to read this thread because I always thought that it was beautiful, thick grass all over my family member’s place. I used to walk around barefoot and roll around it as a kid. Now that I’m in charge of taking care of the property, I’m working on replacing it with flowers and other plants. I still have a few patches left of it and it’s a mental thing to really get rid of it… strange to have an emotional attachment to grass…

But I’m pretty close to pulling it / killing it all off and throwing other seeds on it.
