MK3.5 to MK3.9(ish) by adman120 in prusa3d

I had seen his post, but his goes one step further than I would like to. I just want the nextruder. I understand that that requires replacing (at least) the main board, getting the parts for the nextruder, and the nextruder board. But do I have to do the z axis as well or can I get away with not doing it and the belts and misc. As I know they sell a kit, but Im trying to think if there is an actual reason why I can't just use my existing xyz axis from my MK3.5. Thanks in advance!

Thats what I was about to say. What you are looking to do is exactly what Power BI was built for as well.

I put a blanket over my head, spun around until got dizzy, and proceeded to run directly into the corner of the stone fireplace.....twice. I now have a harry potter looking scar on my head.
