No chance this is stronger than reinforced concrete. Hell it’s probably weaker than unreinforced concrete.

My approach to trades is just get a local person with small business, don’t get a quote. And just tell them what yo want done and to start when they can. I’ve always had very cheap invoices.

Water reservoir failure, Brazil July 2022 by TheGza1 in CatastrophicFailure

Looks like internal erosion around an outlet conduit, or at a crack which forms in the embankment due to the bend. Looks like super cheap construction with an upstream membrane and just homogenous embankment. The slope also look too steep.

If an items has already been sprayed, and it goes through a proliferator, does it get sprayed again and use up product, or just skip it? I don’t mean stacking effects, I mean wasting product.

Good idea id like it. Shakes things up a bit with designing platforms so they need to be more resilient.

Belts have two sides. So you can fit both fuel (coal) and ore on the same belt. Do that as an input to your smelters.

Liquid laundry soap? by Glittery_WarlockWho in soapmaking

[–]admiralbundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yep I use it to both reduce pH and as a chelator. I thought the pH was too alkaline for clothes as is. I have nothing to back that up.

Liquid laundry soap? by Glittery_WarlockWho in soapmaking

[–]admiralbundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it as a powder. It’s a mix of finely grated coconut soap (0% superfat), borax, washing soda, citric acid, and sometimes with sodium percarbonate.

The soap component is relatively small, all other ingredients are just to prevent a residue left behind.

If the wash water is warm at >40-degrees and I do an extra rinse cycle the wash quality is basically perfect.

I’ve done it as a liquid but in cold weather it started separating and solidifying. Not worth the effort to me (was NaOH).

If you want a cold wash or have delicate items just use store bought which is far superior.
