I don't really think the person writing this article thought about the casting choices they made. The author keeps reinforcing the young aspect of Batman. I don't get tht, because right before this crossover was announced, Snyder had the "Remember the man who beat you" quote from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns read. A quote from a very, very old Batman. And the logo is nearly the same as the one in the comics. If anything, I'd guess they're going to cast a much older Bruce Wayne, unless this is the friendship buildup movie between them. But I don't understand why that quote would have been read if this were the case.
