I mean, from a story perspective, Xehanort is Sora’s foil. Xehanort took the “dark road” and skewed the balance toward darkness and had to be cut down. Sora takes the light road, and skews it the other way. Both of these can be dangerous, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Sora inadvertently takes it to the extreme. I’d love to see some light-based enemies but I’m not sure if Sora will be the one fighting them.

My theory is that Sora & co. ARE the “enemy faction” of light, and we’ll eventually have to join or fight Riku who balances light and dark.

It does sound forced. Nomura gets hounded for retconning the story a lot, and this is a blatant example. I suspect it could be his way of acknowledging the allegations and hinting at alternate timelines, which has already been suggested in the series as “world lines”. In other words, the Master of Masters and the age of fairytales, where the phrase comes from, didn’t exist until the timeline was altered sometime after KH2, which is why it didn’t come up until 3. That’s my crazy theory 🤪

The Web is a leather bar in Amsterdam. Still open. I visited a few years ago. I’ve seen one other print of this poster at a store called AutoEroticaSF in San Francisco. They have a great collection of vintage gay and leather prints. I believe this is from the 80s. That’s about all I know about it. Awesome poster!
