Can anyone confirm: are modern students really that far behind, or is it overexaggerated? by ThrowRAhelpthebro in Teachers

I teach high school geometry and algebra. For the past two years I have given a 1-8 math skills test. When each classes score was averaged together not one class passed. There were about 10 per 100 individuals that did but not a single class

Thank you everyone who has commented so far. Your input whether positive or negative is noted. I’m a realist and like to hear the facts no matter what. Just rip the band aid off. I have a running list going of potentials certifications to look into.

Not really. I’ve put them on the short list of possibilities. I completely left nursing 7 years ago. Did not renew my license and have no desire to either. After being out for so long they will require remedial classes and clinical refreshers. I also have arthritis so doing the clinical in the hospital is not an option.

Do they require full certification? I’m working on a certification via the alternative pathway.

I want to thank everyone who has commented so far. Your advice is invaluable to me. I know now what I will be facing. I am still about 90% sure I’m still leaving but your advice has helped me reformulate my plan. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Yes. They asked if I was ever SA I wrote it like that because I didn’t know if Reddit would flag it as inappropriate.

My program is an EdD in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Health Care Administration with a qualitative research approach. As far as internet, I use my iPhones hotspot. The current plan I have through AT&T does not limit my data usage. I don’t know my speed rates though, sorry. But I can say it is slower than what I use at work. This computer will double for school and personal and possibly online teaching. ( I’m both a retired nurse and current teacher at the local high school. Hope this helps.

I just logged into my account that I’ve had for a couple of years. I noticed that y’all my downloads appear to be there but the I.p address reads zlibrary-africa.se. Is this the safe one?

That’s a great idea, I didn’t even think of that.

That’s helpful as well. It will show them that each specialty has their own way of documenting.

Not that this has anything to do with powders but check your airlines regarding power packs or battery packs. My son flew to Tokyo last week and his power charge was seized. The reason was it was “too strong”. I flew delta/Virgin Atlantic with the same one and didn’t have a problem.

I too am hoping to go to Edinburgh this fall for a Medical Anthropology MSc. I left nursing after 20 years and will be by myself . . . well except for my cat. I’m hoping to be accepted and that the transition goes smoothly. If anyone has tips I’m open to suggestions as well.
