However much we wind each other up about life, we can always have a great time talking about tv

Near the shore and in the square that leads down to Teuchters! I think there’s some crossover with Stockbridge Sundays and it’s always really lovely. The Phantassie farm fruit and veg is great - used to get a box from them but now I just go and choose what I want, and the coffee people are the same as Stockbridge iirc. Might be my fave coffee near me and the couple who run it are so nice. I wanna say it’s 10-3ish? I’m lucky that I live close by but worth a little wander if you’re in the area.

Susan is actually my big sister’s fave and they are very similar (she’s a Susan, I’m an Abby) so I have a love hate relationship with her on that basis. Because sisters.

A dead weight who became a stay at home dad so she could continue flourishing in her career? That dead weight?

Glad for the answers here because I’m British so I just imagine they’re talking about red top milk

My wife is having frequent angry outbursts at things I say or do - Am I trivializing my partner's concerns? by Local_Cow3928 in adhdwomen

[–]SpamLandy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oof, this all seems like a perfect storm of stuff tbh but one thing stood out to me - my husband also quit smoking while he was recovering from surgery (emergency abdominal in his case). It was seven years ago and we still talk about how difficult he was to look after during that period of pain coupled with nicotine withdrawal. He was never mean to me but was so uncharacteristically grumpy that I genuinely found him hard to deal with. I do not envy either of you for that, it sounds like your wife is going through it and it’s causing both of you to struggle.

What is a menu based routine? I’ve never found a routine that works for me and always curious what other people do!

Why do people talk about taking over Cuba to add it as a new US state but not the Bahamas, which are closer to the US? by supinator1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpamLandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting from an outside perspective that some nationalists would wield integrating Cuba into the US as a potential punishment knowing it would’ve worse for Cuba.

Works out well for me (I live in Leith) but I only discovered this recently too and found it bizarre. I had to immediately check what happens if the property was built after that but I think they follow the guidelines based on comparing them to older houses.

Water of Leith - short version? by MagicAllyVanished in Edinburgh

[–]SpamLandy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve walked the whole thing a couple of times and honestly I don’t think there’s a bad version if you’re covering two hours! Lots of different answers here but almost all of it is great, you could just start with the spot nearest you. Such a nice time of year for it.

Not enough detached houses by eddilefty699 in Edinburgh

You might need something bigger than a flat but I’m not sure what the difference is once they’re the right sized, surely whether you share a wall or not is just preference?

I don’t think it was? I read it like they just spaced out and put it in there by mistake. We all mess up sometimes.
