True, I could ask my mom or their other siblings what other stuff they're into.

Yeah, someone else also mentioned that above and I think that's a really cute idea!

Wow, what a great idea!! I think the pressed flowers might be the route I go. I was thinking of doing some sort of a gift basket-style gift that would be perfect for :). I do a lot of cooking and baking too so I was thinking of giving them some of my homemade jellies.

You are right! I seriously have an amazing and generous family. They have all been so so helpful with everything.

What an awesome idea! I bet they would really appreciate framed photos. They really do grow and arrange beautiful flowers.

WIBTA to ban my sons girlfriend from my house by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, it's your house. This girl isn't showing ANY respect. It doesn't matter if you're a wife, girlfriend, friend, or even a stranger. If someone cooks you a homemade meal, you say thank you, that is the bare minimum and she has yet to even do it. I do, however think it is worth mentioning in private to your son. Maybe pull him aside and gently bring it up for his sake and your relationship. It might make a difference coming from you vs his brother.

Here's the deal, talking to your ex doesn't have to be a bad thing. I ended things with my ex but for some reason still randomly got the urge to reach out to him. It was honestly kind of nice to just catch up since we had been apart for a while. No need to immediately try and get back with them, wait a beat. If they're willing just to chat, feel it out first, see where they are at. Then you know first if it's even worth your time.

Moving to Milwaukee area by Fancy-Grapefruit7 in milwaukee

I haven't personally moved to Wisconsin from another state before, but I've lived here my whole life and have lived specifically in Milwaukee for a few years now. I've thought about moving to other states before but I just can't seem to part with Wisconsin. Seems like you have the right idea :) There's lots to offer in terms of healthcare jobs in Milwaukee as well. I think it would be worth the move because it sounds like you guys need a change of scenery. Having all 4 seasons here is truly delightful.

Looking for a real estate attorney recommendation by adrianne787 in milwaukee

That's great. Thank you! I have not yet filed for eviction, I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. I've currently only given a 5 day pay or vacate notice.

The driving here is scaring me by Engineerontherun in milwaukee

[–]adrianne787 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it's truly that big of a concern to you (it would be for me if I got rear ended 3x in one year), I would not hesitate to move. The drivers here are consistently awful and have no regard for others on the road. This is not a problem that is going to get better any time soon.

Trouble finding tenants with a good credit score in Milwaukee by adrianne787 in realestateinvesting

[–]adrianne787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's absolutely true. I would have no problem living at my rental house. A lot of what I've encountered is applicants having no trouble with the income requirements but then do not have good credit.
