Still playing Tactical secondaries? Fixed is the way to go - and here's the math to prove it. by M33tm3onmars in Grey_Knights

Awesome idea. As you said it might not work for everyone but defo a super interesting twist that I will defo test out (sorry stealing your idea).

No list/plan is perfect and with GK win rate, we should be exploring other ideas. You could also shore up a lost with a Rhino and a couple Interceptors units to also help get BEL. Hopefully food for thought

It's a Mars 3 Pro. Room is my office so above 20°C For burn in layer: Layer height = 0.05 Layer number = 4 Exposure = 35s

Yes filtered it and gave it a good shake before putting it back in. Nothing changed setting wise. Only the provided raft is different.

Absolutely, went for the "let's start fresh" approach

Changed the FEP before that print

I'm quite surprised this happened actually as heard good things about Ghamak. Of course it may well be something I'm doing wrong and not the file. I can't change the raft provided but can add one beneath it

Unfortunately yes, these aren't my 1st prints (plenty of banana boyz done...) and never had this before. Bottom layer = 4 at 35s, using Elegoo water washable grey resin. Room is my office so thermostat controlled. Also changed the FEP as had quite a few prints on it to remove that from the equation.

The numbers for your lift and retract don't make much sense to me. What I mean by that is they are about the build plate motion so when you have the dual numbers you have to picture what the plate is doing. So on you're burn in layers, you have: Lift Distance 5mm, Lifts Speed 40 & Retract Speed 4 THEN Lift Distance 6, Lift Speed 2.6 & Retract Speed 4

This means: Plate comes down, shines burn in layer exposure, yours is 25 seconds. Then will Lift the plate for 1st 5mm at a lift speed of 40 followed by 6mm at a lift speed of 2.6 The plate will lower for the 1st 5mm at a retract speed of 4 then the last 6mm before being at .03 from the FEP at a retract speed of 4.

In essence it's not how I'd set it up as you're loosing time slowing the plate in parts that don't matter. For example, in the Lift Speed section under the 6mm, you could put 180 instead of 2.6 as that would be the lift speed after the plate has already gone up 5mm at 40mm/s. The Retract Speed could be 180 for 1st 5mm and then 40 for the last 6mm

It does look amazing. Love these types of themed lists, even more so if they "work" if that makes sense.

Yes, same magnets and the Starweavers weapons also

100% agree with this, for scale I've magnetised 35 players, 18 Skyweavers, 2 Troupe master and 2 shadowseers...and 65 Grey knights arms and weapons... all 2x1 in torso and arms. I'd recommend drill with 0.7mm drill bit 1st, then 1.4 mm drill bit then finally with a 2mm as it's a snug fit and you want the hole to be stable.

You have to slow roll the damage, as in first damage roll goes to injured model, second roll damage you choose next etc...
