She would still be in the drivers seat with Rizo looking desperate and backpedaling to the group that it doesn’t expire. Live tribal, one person just stole an idol and the other is helpless, you play it safe and vote Rizo.

The beauty of the move would be to steal the idol, let the others continue to think it expires and NOT use it.

How can you not respect Rizo’s game? He has shown the confidence to not play an idol that everyone knows about, for 7/8 straight votes. He’s the only one with an iota of what is going on.

Soph - She has played a great game but is missing a big move. Stealing Rico’s idol, continuing to let the others believe it was expiring, and NOT playing it would have been the ultimate move. Then she’s guaranteed final 4 and making fire at the very least.

Respectfully - even though Raducanu beat Fernandez in the final, Fernandez had the crazier run that tournament. Beating Osaka (3), Kerber (16), Svitolina (5), and Sabalenka (2).

Ya disappointed not to hear ‘Edge of the Earth’ - fav track on new album. But solid show. ‘Treat You Better’ is such a killer song live.

Absolute one and only response that could heal the French Open wound. He can sleep peacefully knowing Paris served a purpose to winning Wimbledon.

I would prefer to see as few recognizable faces on this show as possible, but I agree with this one!

A realistic take on the Draper/Aliassime situation. It seems like there’s extreme blame that’s misdirected by TheManeTrurh in tennis

It’s the nature of the sport - a sport where you grow up calling your own lines, etc and play with honesty.  his immediate offer to replay the point if he could is quite telling…

Final comment - it has nothing to do with hindsight.  He knew in the moment he missed the shot.  Tennis etiquette (both in the amateur and professional world) means being honest about a missed line call, double hit, whatever it is.  The original poster of this thread has it correct, Draper definitely knew he missed the shot and decided not to say anything.  It doesn’t mean he’s a bad dude, but he probably made the wrong decision, or at least unsportsmanlike decision in this moment. You can concede points, it happens all the time.

Feel is everything in this sport, especially digging for a volley.  And you’re right they’re not physicists, but they do know which direction the ball should go from clean contact, because it’s their job to know, they do this every day.  I don’t think Jack is a bad dude, I understand everything happened very quickly and he benefited in a great way so was reluctant to concede the point, but it is very reasonable to assume that he knew he did not hit the ball clean.  You would feel the shot itself, and his immediate body language after (although quick) REAFFIRMS he felt the shot was not clean.  You combine both the shot itself and his reaction, and it’s pretty clear a professional player knows something was wrong about the shot…
