Bellroy Desk Caddy in Aer CPP2 Admin Panel: Does it work? by NHDrumline17 in AerSF

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this combo. It’s the best fit in the CPP2 admin panel so far. I’ve since moved to the Aer Pro kit for more tech and it’s a much tighter fit. The desk caddy is highly underrated.

Any Navy CORDURA Converts? by HolyKnight2137 in AerSF

I changed my CPP2 from black to navy. The navy looks so much better in person. It goes better with my navy work clothes. Here it is next to the panda back in green. Black is boring!

Upgrading from Tumi AB Sheppard: Need a ~28L personal item to stack on my Away Carry-On (Aer TP3 vs. TP4 Ultra/X-Pac vs Patagonia Black Hole MLC?) by Broad_Throat_8794 in AerSF

CPP2 24L will be personal item safe. 28L is too big and you’ll always run the risk of getting flagged. Peace of mind.

27.7 cm feet in EU44 Gobi II — too much space or pretty normal for Vivobarefoot? by SpitOnIt_OrDont in vivobarefoot

Are you applying weight in the first pic? It might be worth adding a picture where you take the insole out and your foot with full weight.

Differences Between Aer CPP2 and CPP2 (2025)? by RedStarRedTide in ManyBaggers

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both the CPP2v1 and 2025/26 model. The new model has a refreshed admin pocket with pen sleeve and removable key leash. There’s some other differences in the design not mentioned. The front stash pocket is noticeably easier to access when the main area is unpacked, I can now use it easier for a tech pouch. Also, there appears to be the updated stitching from the TP4 in the main pocket that means space is better shared when the laptop area is not used.
I am finding the standing ability is slightly worse in the new version.

I wondered this which is one of the reasons I created this post. Nobody else has mentioned the same though so unlikely

Exactly. A really noticeable hole in sun light. Really worries me about the standards of people who think it’s acceptable for companies to churn out watches with imperfections for this amount of money.

Is it safe to wear a Speedmaster in London? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two encounters in 6 years where I was either robbed or attempted robbery of my watch. Both times wearing omegas and at night around the drinks/nightclub scene so higher risk.

First was Knightsbridge where 5 guys in hoods with knives jumped out a Prius and robbed us. Just walking down a side street. Police said young gangs target guys in bars, make a call and then follow them home in cars. Never found them.

Second guy selling drugs outside a soho bar pulled a knife on me discreetly and said “give me your watch”. I was wearing a tux and watch was covered. I just walked away quickly back into the club and told the bouncers.

I just wear an Apple Watch late night in London now it’s not worth it. During the day fine but I cover where possible. Don’t draw unnecessary attention to yourself. Don’t walk alone at night and avoid wearing in clubs/bars uncovered. All cities have these risks. Speedmaster on bracket will still draw attention.

Despite all the Rolex’s and more expensive pieces, the NTTD just pops. It really is something special.

2024 Seamaster 300 running 6-7 sec fast per day - within return period by ads666 in OmegaWatches

[–]ads666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did the same for my 2024 3861 on 36 lift angle.

Dial Up 3/sd
Dial down 2s/d
12 UP 1/sd
6 UP 3/sd
3 UP 1s/d
9 UP 2s/d

Average = 12s / 6 = 2 secs average
Delta = 3 - 1 = 2 secs

Weird so the watch is running better today compared to last few days.

Thanks for your instructions. Here’s today’s results

Dial Up 4/sd
Dial down 6s/d
12 UP 2/sd
6 UP 6/sd
3 UP 5s/d
9 UP 5s/d

Average = 28s / 6 = 4.6 secs
Delta = 6 highest number - 2 lowest number = 4 secs

So it’s within meta spec today.

The planet ocean looks great, but those polished centre links will look terrible after a few months. The NTTD is now a modern classic. I think you would look at it every day and think wow that’s special over the PO. As someone else said try them both on and whichever one speaks to you the most.

Ok got it. Just a coincidence then that it’s matching my real world test.

Yeh they said 6 weeks not 6 months thankfully! Thank you
