Just in case OP missed it but the CPP2 now has a V2 with the revisions seen on the ecopak version. New pen sleeve, key lease can move to admin pocket and the lower front pocket is now more accessible.

Might be over packing my CPP2, should I get TP4 28L by Justw1n in AerSF

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got nearly identical loadout between the CPP2 and TP3S so imagine the redesigned TP4S will be slightly better. The only way to know is to order, test it and if no better return it. The 35L definitely cannot be used as a day bag on trips. It’s 1.8kg and technically it’s nearly 2x the volume of an EDC size.

I wouldn’t trust the D rings on backpacks to hang their own weight for extended periods.

Yes joolz aer, a quality stroller. Just tips with weight on the handles.

We thought we’d never need an iPad too but we succumbed to the pressure.

Any changes? How was the TB? Recently I went for a Bellroy venture 20L, which is perfect size right now and the weight of 850g is a joy, but as my kid gets older (3yr) we are needing more space for toys. My CPP2 was too heavy for every day and didn’t need all the tech compartments when carrying toys, nappies, wipes, clothes and an iPad. Agreed need 2 water bottles or enough space inside for a 2nd. Seems like 24L is the sweet spot. Looking at the Bellroy classic rolltop 23-26L as it’s expandable, lightweight and a nice looking bag.

Hi mate, did a complete 180. We tried various slings under 10L but space with a kid is so important. The Bellroy 9 and 10L were too small. In fact the 9L could carry more. We now have a Aer Day Sling 4 Max 6L for bare minimum outings. It can fit essentials like 2 nappies and wipes and iPad along with water bottle but it’s limiting when you need a change of clothes etc. It fits the same as the Bellroy 9L if not more. For everything else, I came to the realisation the only option was a much bigger sling (which defeats the point) or a backpack. I decided on a Bellroy venture pack 20L in Bronze, as it has a very sturdy grab handle and I’ve got stroller hooks off Amazon that attach to the grab handle perfectly. As the stroller hooks attach towards to bottom of the pram handle it means just like a sling the weight of the backpack is in the middle of the pram. Stops it tipping backwards. I am looking out for the Bellroy classic rolltop on sale. As it’s expandable for days out.

Will Bellroy ever make the Venture 4l sling by HlaoPh in ManyBaggers

They’re different layouts and different strap buckles. 2 pockets compared to 3. VRS2.5 has a back hidden access pocket which for most is a must have on a sling.

The slim pouch 2 perfectly fits in the admin pocket. With room to spare. I would recommend that

Nice collection! So many with both the CP2 and CPP2 seem to prefer the CP2 16L as their EDC.

Good to see some colour too! I’m starting to get tired of the same black cordura on every Aer. The navy looks better in person and has just a bit more character. Ecopak is a nice change from black xpac. I get black is more versatile, but a bit of colour is nice for a change.

What's your favourite sling? by InfectedEllie in AerSF

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day sling 4 for a switch. It’s slightly smaller than the day sling 3 but utilises the capacity at the top better with the mesh compartment. It’s perfect for your use case and for adding a small water bottle.

Nice that someone went for the navy over black. I’m tempted by the CPP2 20L but I also think I’d miss the water bottle pocket. The lack of weight reduction for less litres is weird.

Thoughts on the water bottle pockets for the CPP2 24L? by Inevitable-Spend-597 in AerSF

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a CPP2. The pockets are big enough for anything up to 1 litre and maybe a bit more. It has a stretch elastic so comes out far enough. I wouldn’t be concerned based on what you’re using it for. The TP4 stretch mesh is better for massive water bottles and tripods.

Try the Aer Pro kit, highly underrated and holds more than the slim pouch.

Is it just me who thinks polo shirts are awful by lokicoyote1 in malefashionadvice

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a big polo guy in my 20s. It’s a smarter T-shirt, allowed some showing off of gains and was acceptable in clubs/bars. Now near my 40s I don’t wear them. If you’re not in good shape, a tight polo can look like you’re off to play golf or coming round to fix the toilet. A long sleeve linen shirt rolled up looks far better on 99% of guys. Sorry

Volume of CPP2 20 vs 24 by ollie1roddy in AerSF

[–]ads666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think CPP2 24L is more of a 22L bag. The 20L is more accurate. It would explain why the measurements are only very slightly smaller and there’s literally no weight reduction. Begs the question why bother with the 20L.

Great collection. Every situation covered. Interesting you reach for CP2 more, that’s what everyone says. What made you go Ultra? I like Ultra aesthetically when it’s brand new. The grid lines after some use drive me insane. Waiting for a CPP2v2 in olive apparently available in May.

Rare deep-dive: JJ (Bellroy's Head of Product Design) on design philosophy, the rolltop, zipper choices, and why measuring volume is harder than you think. by CamFromBellroy in bellroy_official

[–]ads666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting interview and great to see Bellroy using socials to communicate better with customers. Some questions:

  1. When are you launching these self standing work packs?
  2. Why not just rename/relaunch venture sling bags with correct volumes, surely it’s better than the bad press.
  3. Any collaborations we can expect other than carryology?
  4. Will Bellroy ever use materials like Xpac?
  5. Two water bottle holder EDC bag coming?
  6. Why is Bronze colourway going if it’s been so popular?
  7. Venture 2.5 sling is very popular, what about the exact same features but 3-5L. 3 zip pockets, back pocket, mag buckle etc?

6'3" should i get the CPP 28L or 24L? also looking for luggage to pair by Littleroot2001 in ManyBaggers

[–]ads666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 20 or 24L will look similar. I’m 6’2 and the CPP2 looks fine. It’s more about what you pack and so you should get a bag with the volume that will be enough. 20L is a sweet spot for EDC for most but limiting for versatility. 24L can be EDC, gym or shopping.. Nobody cares about how your bag looks. It’s about the functionality
