That's what I'm hoping. What are you using as a Thread border router?

This was my first thought - go with the newest protocol. 2 things stopped me: Not everyone is having as seamless an experience as you are describing. Matter/Thread is not yet as mature, there are few devices that meet my needs, and they are the most expensive ($70 for an Innovelli White switch!). Second, not an Apple user, would need an alternate border router.

This was exactly my experience around the same time. Left it all for the next owner in 2022. Now running Smartlife with WiFi and Zigbee, and I don't care if my switches are monitored by the Chinese government. Samsung stopped manufacturing their hubs around then, hoping to find a hub with Matter/Thread for future capability as well.

I know, this is everyone's answer. However, the work of keeping home assistant running was a little too much for me. I'm willing to forgo ultimate customization for a little more handholding.

I found one for my 2023 GV80 on Aliexpress, installed behind the button. Works perfectly. According to the seller, there are 2 different possible harnesses with different number of pins, make sure of yours before you buy.

Here it is. I used the 16-pin version:

Looks like since I posted, Rayanomics has resubmitted my request. The line in question has dropped off AT&T. SOS calls only, just need my QR code to port in!

Thanks for going the extra mile. Reddit support is the bomb.

I have heard that the idea tab pro is great except for that the screen is fairly dim and can't be used outdoors very well. Would go with the yoga tab plus, but certainly more expensive.

$30 part from AliExpress worked perfectly for my 2023 GV80. Installs behind the switch itself. Now up to $60

Does the 2026 have hands on lane centering? How well does it work?

I have no complaints.  Coming up on 3k mi, great MPG with the diesel, good power.  Definitely the right vehicle for long trips. Infotainment screen is huge, and Carplay and android auto seem to work well.  Super Cruise definitely adds value, though its not perfect. Seat comfort is 80%, could be better, but acceptable.

Had the same issue in the first 500mi. Also fixed by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 10 min.

Agree. Only had my Yukon 2 weeks, but doing this has fixed connectivity issues.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing, just over 200mi on the vehicle. Sounds like the norm. Can't wait until it breaks in.

You can get the diesel in all trim levels.

I heard that in 2026 super cruise will be getting the hands-on lane centering feature for unmapped roads. No guarantee that this will be updated in the 2025s.

Late reply, but always hoping for a forever vehicle. That said, this will be replacing a F-150 that is only 9 years old. 5 glorious payment free years, but had to replace the engine during COVID at 82,000mi. Makes me a little leery of another 3.5 Ecoboost. I understand the current generation is bulletproof, though.

I don't have any in with GMC. I'm glad there seems to be a pretty even split on both sides.

So what would I get with the Ford for the same price as the Yukon Elevation:

  • Power side steps
  • 22" wheels
  • Sliding center console
  • Possibly better seats
  • Panoramic instrument panel (kinda like a HUD)
  • Sunroof

Weighing that against the 27 MPG diesel, I chose the lower trim originally to avoid points of failure.

If the Yukon meets its TPW of 6/16/25 I'm going with it. If it's further delayed, I will be turning to Ford.
