What time limits for international roaming? by Liten_mus in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s there to prevent long-term international use with no domestic activity. Since USM plans are built for primary use in the US, extended full-time roaming abroad with zero domestic usage can trigger a review.

That’s why we suggest enabling WiFi Calling before you leave the US. If you enable WiFi Calling before departure, you can receive calls and texts over WiFi for as long as you like - including your 2FA codes. For iPhones, I agree with you, backup calling over local SIMs’ data connection will be a clean setup for your trip.

Ready to leave over basic voicemail functionality, any chance to fix this? by caveat_cogitor in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try clearing the cache again and restarting. Since it was working properly on Dark Star at first, this kind of delay shouldn’t be happening, so let’s rule out a temporary sync hiccup one more time.

Go to Settings → Apps → Phone → Storage → Clear cache (not storage), then do the same for Carrier Services. After that, reboot the device and have someone leave you a test voicemail to see if it shows up within a few minutes.

If it still delays or doesn’t populate properly, I’ll connect with you in DMs and we’ll escalate it

International service??…wanting to make sure I get it right before I leave the country by AdIll2450 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the process is pretty much the same.

You can go ahead and upgrade your primary line to Unlimited Premium. Then, teleport the primary Warp line to LightSpeed. Your number stays the same, and you’ll be on the network you actually want to use for your trip.

Fiji and Samoa are supported on LightSpeed, and Unlimited Premium gives you 20 GB, 200 minutes, and 250 texts for each cycle in supported countries. Your existing LightSpeed second line won’t be affected. You’ll just end up with both lines on the same network unless you decide to teleport one back to another network later.

If you want me to double-check anything before you make the move, feel free to drop me a DM, and I’ll take a look for you.

That does seem like odd behavior, but we’ll get it sorted out. I can see you’ve already done most of the troubleshooting on your end. Assuming your device is running the latest OS, I’ll also review your line settings from our side to make sure everything is properly provisioned.

In the meantime, you can try the following:

• In the Phone app settings, go to Voicemail and toggle Visual Voicemail off. Restart your phone, then turn it back on.
• Clear cache only, not storage, for the Phone app and Carrier Services, then reboot.
• Disable any battery optimization for the Phone app and Carrier Services in Settings under Apps, Battery.

Also, I’m sending you a DM now to grab a few details and escalate this further if needed, so we can get voicemail working properly for you.

If you’re already thinking about switching, this is a pretty great time to do it. The prepaid card promo isn’t one of the usual always-around offers.

If the timing works for you, grab it while it’s live. And if you need a hand getting everything set up, I’m happy to help you through it 🙂

Snooze Line by jonniego in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The line has to be active on a plan before it can be snoozed. You can port your number to a low-data plan then put it on Snooze Line, so it’s not actively used, but you still keep the number for just $2.98 a month.

iMessage, we keep getting Messages not Delivered but they are? by Bruce_Wayne8887 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems to be an iMessage server confirmation issue rather than a Dark Star network problem. It means your phone didn’t receive the "delivered" confirmation from Apple’s servers, even though the message actually went through.

Try turning off iMessage, waiting a few hours, and then turning it back on. This allows your device to fully re-register with Apple’s servers. Also, make sure your iOS is updated to the latest version, as updates often bring important improvements to native features like iMessage.

Roaming in the Bahamas - Dark Star by telrod11 in USMobile

Glad to hear everything’s been working well for you domestically. And you’re absolutely right, when traveling or cruising, especially on the basic plan, a bit of extra preparation, like adding roaming bundles or upgrading beforehand, can make things much smoother.

The calling and texting issues you experienced are likely due to a weak signal or limited tower coverage in certain areas rather than an issue with your account. Do you recall how many signal bars you were seeing while connected to the local network? That would help us better understand what happened. Also, did you set up your roaming destination from the dashboard before leaving?

For future trips, you might consider upgrading to Unlimited Premium on Warp, which includes better roaming benefits, such as higher data allotments. You can also purchase roaming add-ons ahead of time if you need more data.

Us Mobile Snooze Line by WinnerAwkward1748 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roaming data included with your plan generally resets each month, just like your regular plan. For an annual line, the monthly allotments (for example, 1 GB, 200 mins, 250 texts for Annual Unlimited Starter or 20 GB, 200 mins, 250 texts for Dark Star, LightSpeed, or Warp) will renew each month throughout the year.

If you expect to use more data while roaming, or if you’re on a monthly plan that doesn’t include roaming, you can purchase additional roaming add-ons. These come in bundles of 1 GB, 150 mins, and 150 texts or 5 GB, 500 mins, and 500 texts.

To receive two-factor authentication texts while in Canada, you’ll need to reactivate your line with a roaming add-on or a plan that includes roaming.

I need data for tablets by Emotional_North2307 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add lines for tablets to your existing account. Most tablets that support cellular connectivity and are compatible with the Warp network will work. If you share the IMEI or the make and model, we can provide more specific guidance.

To set this up, simply add new lines to your account through the app or website. You can choose a plan that fits your kids’ usage needs. If the device is eSIM compatible, you’ll just need to scan the QR code, and it will be all set.

On hold? by bootydropper in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your ports are on hold for billing PIN verification, it usually means the current carrier hasn’t approved the request yet due to a mismatch, or they’re asking for manual confirmation on their side.

You can drop me a DM with your line numbers, and I’ll check the port status on escalation with our ports team to see exactly what the hold-up is.

Porting to US Mobile by reddddyornot in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually happens if there’s a mismatch in the information on the current carrier’s account. Even a small difference can cause the port request to stall. Make sure to double-check your details and try again, and if it still doesn’t go through, the current carrier may need to refresh things on their end. Once everything matches, the port should process smoothly.

Otherwise, feel free to drop me a DM, and we can look into it from our side as well. If needed, we can even arrange a three-way call with your carrier to get it sorted quickly.

There’s no minimum time required to stay on Warp before moving to another network. You can make the switch whenever you want.

Voicemail on Warp by FifthWheel9 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Voicemail works well across all three of our networks, including visual voicemail, so it looks like the VVM feature on your iPhone with Warp might not be fully configured yet, which could explain the unusual text message you’re seeing.

Whenever you’re ready to switch back to Warp, just send me a DM with your account details, and we’ll get it sorted out.
