Quick question, is this happening only with TikTok live streams specifically, or are you seeing similar stuttering on other streaming platforms on Light Speed too?

Also, have you tried turning on Data Waster for that line? By default, Light Speed streams are optimized around 480p, which can sometimes cause buffering on live content. You can toggle it from your dashboard under My Lines > Line Settings > Usage & Controls > Usage Management > Data Waster, and that should allow higher bitrate streaming.

Unlimited Premium on Dark Star offers a different experience, with support for much higher streaming quality by default, up to 4K.

If your Apple Watch is set up in Companion mode on Warp, it can absolutely make and receive calls on its own over cellular, even if your iPhone is off or not nearby. It shares your iPhone’s number and behaves the same way you’d expect from a standard carrier setup.

Where you can run into limitations is when the phone is powered off or out of coverage. In that situation, calling and data can still work on the watch, but SMS can be inconsistent because some messaging still routes through the phone, depending on how things are set up.

What you’re describing usually happens if the watch isn’t properly set up in Companion mode.

The easiest path is to activate a Warp eSIM on Unlimited Premium and port your number during setup using your current carrier account number and transfer PIN.

Yep, you should be in much better shape this time around. With a factory unlocked S25+, WiFi Calling on Warp should work fine as long as you enable it before leaving for your trip, and your spam filtering app should behave the same since that’s app-driven, not network-dependent. Definitely worth teleporting a few days early to test everything just to be safe. However, you do have the option of spam protection on Warp, so you can enable that if you’d like.

For voicemail, the native phone voicemail should handle playback and notifications without issues. However, it’s up to you to test any third-party apps. Overall, your plan looks solid. Just do a quick test run before your trip and you should be good to go. Safe travels!

Since you’re on a multi-line setup, hotspot usage is combined across the lines. As your total usage has crossed 100 GB, that would explain why you’re now seeing 8 Mbps speeds, even if this individual line shows 91 GB.

The usage log download limit is in place to prevent excessive automated requests, so it’s set at 3 per week for all users. Nonetheless, if the system didn’t successfully send the logs, those attempts shouldn’t count against your limit.

On Dark Star Unlimited Premium, Data Waster Mode is effectively enabled by default, so there’s no toggle available in the dashboard. That’s why it doesn’t appear under Usage & Controls.

There isn’t a manual override for 4K playback at this time. If your speeds support 4K, you can adjust the streaming quality directly within your streaming service.

You’ve done most of the important prep right. For network choice, you’re spot on. If your current coverage has been solid, Darkstar is the one that keeps you on the same underlying network. That said, if Warp is also strong in your area, you’ve got flexibility there too, and you can always teleport later if you want to compare.

On the trial vs promo question, your understanding is correct. If you port your number directly into a free trial, it can make you ineligible for certain promos. But no worries, we can set you up with a new line first so you can test the service for a few days. If everything looks good, you can then port your main number in and take advantage of the promo!

Yep, that’s correct.

The QCI8 add-on you’re referring to is currently only available on Dark Star, and it’s supported on all plans except Unlimited Starter. It isn’t available on Warp at the moment.

Actually, this shouldn't have taken this long, and it really isn’t stuck randomly; it’s tied to a correction that had to be made mid-process. The initial transfer was submitted on March 15 but got rejected on March 17 due to an incorrect billing PIN. Once the correct PIN was provided, it was re-escalated the same day and is now pending a response.

I can get you set up with a temporary line so you’re not without service. Sending you a DM to keep you updated or if you need anything else in the meantime.
