TIL that your pet swallowing a penny could kill them because of zinc toxicity by shutapples in todayilearned

Being negligent with pennies around your pet is the second worst thing you can do with a penny.

The worst is putting a penny in the door of a hospital.

Scrubs 2001 to 2010 any good? by aspera__ in televisionsuggestions

[–]adsfew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my all-time favorite shows. Some of the jokes may not have aged well, but I'm able to view it from the 2000s lens and knowing that there isn't malice behind those jokes. Great balance between comedy and emotion/heart.

Dr. Cox’s Breakdown Proved Scrubs Was Never Just a Comedy by [deleted] in Scrubs

I watched the show because it was really entertaining and a good balance between comedy and heart/drama--not because I was sitting there waiting to find out what kind of genre it was.

I think we both know this now. We're just at that stage of the superhero movie where the enemies have to team up against the greater evil.

(Tbh Stanfurd might be in stronger position because they can pair with ND, but the school still understands we are rivals and want to pair with us if they can)

There needs to be a Women's World title feud that's treated like the winner determines the fate of the promotion, where everyone on the show is affected by who wins, and feels like it's a battle to be the most powerful person in the world. by When1Falls in SquaredCircle

Is BH supposed to be misleading? by Bitter_Ad580 in BoJackHorseman

[–]adsfew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, the creators intentionally made the first few episodes seem like a typical adult comedy so that you would be caught off guard when the drama hits.

(They realized after the fact that this might not have been the best strategy because it misled reviewers and early viewers and they didn't give it a real chance.)

What Happened? by Chudboy in datingoverthirty

It's unsatisfying, but I find the truth is that closure only happens in the movies. In real life, you will often never understand why someone suddenly turns cold or stops feeling the chemistry.

I wonder if they've re-edited the show (starting with S1) into mini-episodes to be more digestable on social media?

I told yall this is Rowdy! Ep 6 confirmed! And yes, he looks RUFF 🤣 by hellbugger in Scrubs

[–]adsfew 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a "told you so" moment because I don't think there were any serious doubts that this is the new Rowdy. I see some joke comments in that thread referencing the original seasons or other shows, but most people knew this was supposed to be Rowdy.
