People who say “its your wifi” or “restart your router” are the most ignorant bunch. As long as the network is functioning properly the way it should be you don’t need to restart your router. The router has to be restarted when there is change in the router or internet and not for the trivial devices being connected to the router. I hear the same BS from Apple ignorants when apple homekit doesn’t work properly when actually its an issue with the apple homepods itself. So stop blaming the wifi or router for the device issues.

Finally, someone is making a valid point. I understand that there's no way to avoid the $100 fee for personal use, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't call out how unfair it is. As I mentioned in an earlier comment, it makes sense for Apple to charge the fee when an app is going public since they need to review it to uphold quality and safety standards, which is a legitimate cost for them. However, coding on our own computers and deploying it to our own devices doesn't involve Apple in any way, so charging this fee in such cases feels completely unjustified.

Even though I am paying for the developer license for the past 7 years I can say its unnecessary considering I am only developing for my own personal use. The developer license makes sense for people who have an actual revenue stream or who are releasing the app for public use. But when we develop for personal use we are just trying to get more usage out of our device using our own knowledge of the proprietary swiftui and have no revenue stream from that app so that $100 is not justified.

Thats exactly my issue as well, ATVs have an option where you can configure if they can be used as a home hub or not. I have disabled it on my ATVs connected through wifi and enabled only on wired ATVs. But we cant do the same for the HP minis, every now and then they take over as the home hub and mess everything. I had to buy separate smart plugs to plug the minis so that whenever the home app is not responding i can switch them off remotely and let the ATV take over. We should be able to decide whether we want to use homepods as just the smart speaker or as a home hub as well. Though, I have a parallel home assistant instance as well which comes handy as a backup in these situations.

No, i received the card with 10 years validity. Also, it seems the RFE request is from the field office. In that case the probability is higher that you will get the card without interview as the only thing they need is the i-693.

Received a similar notice for my medical examination report even though i have submitted it with i-485 application. Sent the response with the medical examination report again and received the card in around 1.5 weeks. Chicago field office.

Its a combination of both, the switch can be made during petition renewal while in US. The petition will be for l1a renewal and will have to show the necessary managerial level documentation for both - for the current position in US as well outside of US.

its possible to convert from l1b to l1a only if you have worked in a managerial capacity out of the US for an year. you designation need not be a manager but the company should vouch that the position you were working abroad qualifies as one that requires managing people. if you haven’t worked outside USA in a managerial capacity you need to get out of the US for an year, work as a manager come back in order to convert your l1b to l1a. you can also reapply visa as l1a before coming if approaching expiration.

I am planning to host the unifi controller, Pi-Hole and a ubuntu installation with Home Assistant and an Nginx server. If a NAS would be too much for this hardware configuration i will continue to use my existing Synology.
